These guys are just bad, plain and simple. They had delusions of sneaking into first place? They will end up 7 1/2 back. Maybe that's good....maybe they become 'sellers' before the trade deadline and start to blow this thing up. I was hoping that Soriano would take an 0'fer for the weekend, to build momentum towards somehow unloading the guy.

Franklin is so slow on the mound. Theriot walked to second, which you'd think would wake him. But no, Molina had to call time to focus him. Yeesh. It was like watching the end of a basketball game with all the breaks in action.

Not a bad idea if it's time to rebuild (and it sure seems like it's time). Get something for him while he has some value.

That's about 890 games more to go. Just to put it in a little perspective.

Lou needs to wake up..Why change what was working...Fukudome in the leadoff was one thing working. This Soto injury will hurt as much as Aram's. Having Hill in the lineup is going to be another big "hole" Sorry Alfonso, but you are hurt worse than you say...or you plain stink. 5-inning Harden is going to kill the bullpen. Those of you wanting a trade to blow things up....who would take any of our high priced-low performing guys. We would have to eat most of the salaries which would prevent us from taking on more salary. I see a long second half with little diff from the first.

Lou just ordered the Gatorade machine back in the dugout so he can take a bat to it.

Looks like the Cubs went back in time with a Spring Game performance.

Cubs need to start making phone calls to other GM's. Hendry is fooling himself if he thinks this team will be in the playoffs.

Soriano is not backing up plays, he looks like he does not want to be on the team anymore. Omar Minaya needs a bat for his Mets. Dump this bum and his salary. At least Sammy Sosa had energy in every game he played in.

Trade D. Lee before he goes on the DL or on a long non-hitting streak.

This team is weak up the middle. Theriot and Fontenot are nice players, but they are backups, not starters.

Whoever buys this team, major changes should be instore.

Aaron Heilman's back to his "I suck worse than donkey dung" ways with 3 walks and a wild pitch in 1 inning.
High priced free agents imploding before Cub fans very eyes. These free agents Bradley, Miles, Heilman, Soriano are more toxic than sub-prime mortgages

This team is just plain bad. No chemistry right from the start. Hendry should be fired for breaking up a 97 win team and causing this entire mess. Can't believe we are talking rebuilding one year after winning 97 but it's true when your stuck with the likes of Soriano and Bradley for years to come at outrageous salaries. Lou shouldn't be to far behind Hendry in getting run out of town.

Should deff be sellers and try to package somebody someone wants that normally would be off limits just so you can throw a soriano or a bradley in just to get rid of them.

Trade Zambrano or Harden but you have to take Soriano. Sounds good to me, then you get rid of two of the biggest team cancers in one trade and get top prospects . Then trade D Lee while he is hot and get a top prospect or two. Put Hoff at 1st and let him learn on the job since team sucks anyway. Throw Fox in left and do the same. Or maybe some of the prospects can come up and learn on the job. Can't be any worse than it is and you will probably see more heart and hustle out of the young guys so even if they lose, at least it will be much better then watching a bunch of over paid bums go through the motions on a daily basis.

This season is O-V-E-R people.
