The good defense (adding Cuddyers great catch at the baggie) was a major reason for the win last night. The Sox have a dangerous ine up and Blackburn fouught through pretty well. Guerrier & Nathan di great out of the bull pen too. This series will determine a lot in the AL central!

The White Sox have the left-handed pitching, which makes it tougher since the Twins' top hitters are all lefties: Span, Mauer, Morneau, and Kubel. Beating Danks meant a lot. Blackburn is a tough pitcher who hangs in there. Danks showed his stuff, too. The other Twins' starters, however, have yet to show the same determination as Blackburn. Guerrier and Nathan were truly lights out--great to see.

Crede, after the last article, got some attention from this observer. He's the other right-handed bat, along with Cuddyer, that was supposed to do something. Instead, he left four men stranded. It was disappointing to watch him make outs every time he came to the plate with runners on, especially the K after Cuddyer was picked off. The Twins need Crede's right-handed bat, especially against teams with good lefty pitching. Yes, the Twins' lefties can hit right-handed pitching, but production does go down. Winning this series would be big for the Twins. A sweep would be better.

Correction: The Twins' lefties can hit "left-handed pitching," but production does go down.

Cuddyer getting picked off in the first inning was the major reason the game wasn't a blow-out win for the Twins. The first six Twins had reached base, then Cuddyer fell asleep. The momentum shifted, at that point.

I think that is true: Yet his catch was crucial to keeping the Sox from getting more runs - along with Punto & (especially) Harris' defensive play.

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Gemini

You're normally pretty canny, but today you're wearing rose-tinted glasses that prevent you seeing what's really going on. There probably isn't much harm in this if your vision is only temporarily obscured, but you could be heading for financial problems if you persist in taking a very idealistic view of a current situation. Be realistic, especially if someone's health or welfare is involved.
