Don't worry fellas, Milton has a couple more seasons (at $10.3M and $13.3M per) in a Cubs uniform to figure it out.

And he _will_ figure it out. He is a persistent young man who won't give up -- which is why he reached the point in his profession where people agreed, voluntarily, to pay him so much to perform.

And, the Cubs can afford it because we Cubs fans keep watching and attending even through tough times.

Ask Kenny Williams whether or not that's important.

Of course, the worst fans in sports are going to boo. The problem with Cub fans is they think they are above the team. They don't care about their players or care who their players are.

They just think they are owed a winning team because they win the attendance trophy year after year.

You actually think this headcase is going to turn things around while always under the microscope of the Chicago media? Forget it, Bradley has zero mental fortitude. Also, the only reason Bradley is getting paid so much is simple -- Jim Hendry is a moron who likes to bid against himself. No one else would have given Bradley anything close to a 3 year/$30 mil contract. Especially in the NL, where the guy has proven time and again that he can't stay healthy when forced to actually play the field.

Hendry merely continued his approach of throwing money at the first shiny object he sees. Bradley had a career year while playing a whopping 126 games at DH in the zero-pressure hitter's paradise of Texas? In Hendry's mind, that pretty much makes Bradley the greatest thing to happen to baseball ever. Nevermind the encyclopedia worth of issues the guy brings to the table, which we're all becoming ever more familiar with on a daily basis. I'm sure old Jimmy thought Milton was just misunderstood.

I'll keep saying it -- put Bradley's agent in the Hall of Fame. I don't even think Scott Boras could have negotiated that absurd contract.

You're wrong. Maybe some Cub fans feel that way, but not all of them. Believe it or not, not all Cub fans are the same. When you paint with such a broad brush, you're almost always wrong. It makes YOU sound dumb and also, like you're an unhappy fellow.

Go Cubs!

Keep thinking whatever negative bs you want to believe, but I do think MB will figure it out.

Also, maybe Hendry was looking at the spectacular numbers Bradley put up last year.

The Bulls just signed Janero Pargo to a two million dollar deal. In that light, Milton Bradley for 30 million seems like a bargain. :)

again I have to say it, who signs someone to a three year deal when he has been on 5 teams in 5 years?

Hendry,Hendry,Hendry,

That should answer it, even if he hit 280...he is still a TOOL. I think the only job he could get besides MLB is government work. I do not mean to insult anyone but we all know someone like Bradley. Slacker!!!

There's no doubt he has issues. He may be a tool as you say. I don't think he's a slacker though, I do think he works hard and cares about his profession. He may be a tool but he's a passionate tool.

I'm not giving up yet. Do any of you critics play golf? It's maddening. I can go out and spray it all over the course, until I don't even know which way is straight. Then, I clear my head, go back the next day, and play my best round ever. Why? Darned if I know, maybe Gerald Perry could figure it out. Better rhythm, more relaxed, hit a few good shots, start to feel confident. Things start to flow.

Same thing can happen for MB. He may however need medication.

I know there are some nice loyal Cub fans but most of them are older. I'm simply speaking about the fans that attend the games and sit in the bleachers acting like morons.

The ones that go to school in Iowa and Indiana and Wisconsin and think that part of being a Chicagoan is acting like a moron at Wrigley Field. Those people are the reason America hates your team

Fine. I don't doubt there are some Cub fans who are tools. Just like there are some Sox fans who are and Cardinals fans and Oriole fans who are tools, etc.

But if you meet a jewish man with a big nose you don't go around saying all jews have big noses, unless YOU are a tool. Get my point?

I don't think America hates the Cubs. I think familiarity breeds contempt. Sox fans hate the Cubs. America loves the Cubs (see road attendance figures.)

See, everybody thinks they know everything.

How do you know he isn't getting extra batting help? Do you have inside info that he leaves early and doesn't work hard? Just like a previous poster said he has "no mental fortitude" like he knows the man, like he's walked in his shoes.

It's very easy to pass judgement isn't it?
