Immediately after Robinson Cano flipped the ball over to Mark Teixeira for the final out of the 2009 World Series, my cell phone rang.

Right on as the Yankees rule! As far as money spent, if you own a business you put what money you need to into it to make it work and if you didn't then you are to blame for your own failure. As far as Teixeira, his glove at first base makes him worth any money paid. Lets have another parade next year Yankee fans!

let the record show that the two highest payroll teams to win a WS BEFORE the Yanks won this season were both Boston from 04 and 07. So the Sox saying we buy titles is the pot calling the kettle black if i've ever seen it.

choke again as they always do? Im going to be nice since i am assuming you are posting from a home for the mentally challenged, but...THE YANKEES WON THIS YEAR!!! Win = Non-Choke. Having a nice lead and going 7-0 on a team in the first 7 then losing the next 8 of nine and the division = choking.

I get a kick out of all the Yankee haters!! The Sux win 2 world series titles in something like 100 years & they want to brag!! LMAO you have to be kidding right??? On the other hand the best team in the history of baseball has just won # 27 YES thats right 2 7 thats TWENTY FIVE more than Boston!! also remember a majority of these titles were long before hundreds of millions of dollars on talent like the Yanks are accused of doing! Lets go Yankees!!# 28 coming right up next season while the Red Sux sit home again and continue to be the thug looking bums that they are!

It only cost 2 billion dollars in payroll to bring a title. To call A-Rod a freak of nature is a little silly given the fact that his numbers were obviously inflated while he was juiced. Most freaks of nature don't need enhancements. Until there's a salary cap in place baseball will be a joke. There are only a handful of competitive teams each year and no incentive for bottom feeders to improve thanks to the luxury tax. The Yankees are only following the rules so it's not on them, but how can you act like it's something special when you can outbid and overspend for every free agent? Baseball should follow the lead of the NFL. I've been to Fenway Park and Yankee Stadium over the years and I can easily say that Red Sox fans are the most obnoxious I've ever had to sit around.

How is this news? The World Series is over. Yankees fans think Red Sox fans are dinks. Red Sox fans think Yankees fans are dinks. Let it go. You can have a p1$$ing match all day long.

yeah well choke right. but going up 8-0 to just settle for a 9-9 tie on a season wow, yeah we choked. Who blew a 5-1 lead in the playoffs, the red sox, but thats right the yankees always choke. i think you should look in the mirror first before you start the choking crap

Sacrilege! Traitorous comments from a carpetbagger.
No not really, just wanted to fill the needs of the yank fans that think the Sox fans can't let go.

Hey Masshole.....look at Boston's payroll. And it doesn't include the $50 million paid to Dice K's team just to have the rights to negotiate with him.

27 championships!!! Wow. They were awesome this year.

Daily Horoscope for December 1

Gemini

Spend the morning recharging your spiritual batteries and prepare for the coming Full Moon in your sign. Listen to your favourite music, surround yourself with your things and let confrontations and business dealings wait until you are ready. The Moon enters Gemini later today, so things will take on a much rosier hue.
