Okay. 61 is not old. It may be old to children but it is not generally considered old. If the lady had been drinking, they would have filed charges. They didn't. If the area is not marked well, why was this 13 year old child riding his bicycle in the street? Driving is bad enough dodging all the crazy drivers, then you throw in some bikes, and it's a nightmare. I'm really sorry about this little boy. He sounds like a good child. But driving is a big responsibility and Northern Virginia is usually a very busy place to drive or ride a bicycle. Both riders must look out for each other. I'm sure this lady feels terrible about this accident and it has probably ruined her life forever. People just don't get over a thing like this. I know his family and friends must be struggling. To the other children: Please try not to ride your bikes in the streets. It's way to dangerous now with so many drivers both good and bad.
