I'd have rather that the young offense would at least get to play at a neutral site (on the road with smaller crowds and less noise to audible over). Ahh well, Monday night football, here they come...

For those who haven't seen much of him yet, Flacco does well under pressure and when the lights are on.(warning, alumni bias)

This is terrible news for the Ravens. This gives the team one less day of rest before the Cleveland game. We better win this week, because I see us getting rolled by Cleveland.

We're screwed.

From NFL.com

Monday night’s re-scheduled game will be televised on local CBS stations in the primary and secondary markets of the Texans and Ravens. The Cowboys will be hosting the Eagles in Monday night’s regularly scheduled game at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Most likely it will not be shown out of the Baltimore area. ESPN would have a serious issue with a competing game being shown nationwide during their MNF program.

All games except the SB have a home team field advantage. This is certainly not the SB. Why does the NFL make this harder than it is? If they are considering moving the game to Atlanta where there may be 1,000 people at best watch the thing, why not, if possible, just switch to Baltimore as the home team and play it there?? If you have to move it why not move it to the other teams stadium? Plain dumb.

It's really not fair to the Texans to take away their homefield advantage and give it to the Ravens. It's not fair to the rest of the AFC either. Each team gets 8 home games a year and giving a team 9 sets them up with an unfair advantage and could be an issue if they edge out another team for the playoffs.

Hey Genius. If the game were to be played in Baltimore how are you going to distribute 68,000 tickets in 2 days?

I am no Paul Tagliabue, but I am guessing that by playing it in Baltimore on the original Sunday rather than a different city on a different day, the NFL would come out ahead in add revenue, fan interest, less fans being put out by travel concerns and no tbe embarassed by a 1,000 persob showing which is what they'll get in ATL. Who cares about the home field advantage, money is God Almighty in the NFL.

the point is, I am sure that we'd get more people in baltimore to buy last minute tickets than the numbers that would appear in ATL. If they have to sell tickets in ATL spur of the moment GENIUS, they can certainly do the same in Baltimore where there is interest in one of the teams.

If the NFL thinks they're going to have power and road access in Houston Monday night, good luck. The same with air operations out of either airport to get the Texans out of town after Saturday night.

If the Ravens get there they would need Michael Phelps as quarterback.

I thought about that too. It's not possible. Even if they could sell out 68,000 seats in 2 days, will call lines would go around the block...it would be a logistical nightmare. Terrible idea to switch venues unless there is no alternative.

Why don't they move the game to San Antonio in the Alamodome? They held several Saints games after Katrina in 2005. Many Houston fans will be here from the evacuation anyway. Then I could watch my Ravens put a smack down on the pathetic Texans in person.

POLL QUESTION:
Should I have my tonsils removed?

The Discovery Channel wants to do a story on me and my tonsils. Well, really they just want to see my tonsils.

I've also had an ingrown toenail. I wonder if that will end my football career???

dfuhhhhh, if they can switch a venue to ATL they may as well switch the venue to Baltimore. I am sure in tis day and age of electronics, ticket distribution is the least of worries.

Well...if you had actually taken the time to read my post you'd see I advocate no change of venue at all. I never mentioned ATL. Your reading comprehension skills need work. And if you really think ticket distribution won't be an issue here you are very naive. Everytime I go to a sporting event there is a long line at will call, while the self service will-call machines are un-used. People just feel the need to go to will-call.

This may give us one less day to prepare for browns but it gives us one more day to rest willis mcgahee and get him ready for houston. It also gives us one more day to make sure flacco doesnt screw up.It also gives us one more day Troy Smith can get healthy.
