I would look first to see what different criteria characterized why people voted for Obama - education, party affiliation, "religiousness" again, and so on. Race could be a weaker correlation there, or a stronger one, but I don't have the link on that question.

snyper wrote: <quoted text> Look. The same applies to discussions of disease rates among the gay populations. You guys are not really in disagreement. You're not bright enough to grasp "stronger correlation," either. I guess you fall into the category of citizens who steadfastly believe driving is safer than flying since you as driver can have "control" over the situation. In other words, a complete lack of understanding of basic statistical notions.

My reference to the reasons for the disease rates among the various gay populations was precisely in reference to the other axes you suggest. I build (and fly) "amateur-built Experimental Light Sport Aircraft" a-ELSA.(At my age that's saying something) So, bad example. http://tinypic.com/view.php... I am long retired from the Mental Health profession, but I don't think I've forgotten much of my stats. I still keep up with the journals for fun. So, how about taking a chill pill, eh?

Too stupid, honestly.
Hey snyper, the none too subtly racist poster and I don't "agree." Go back to mini rocket science school.

Yeah, Curteese. He really is just picking fights. I don't have the time for this nonsense, especially from people who claim to be on our side.

And what we've found, and you've denied because of your race problem, is that the white people and the black people who oppose marriage are the exact same people...older, undereducated, uber "religious." These are the _stronger_ correlations. You, of course, failed to address the infant mortality example, because that example reveals the fallacy of your efforts to justify your thinly veiled racism. You have failed to provide the url you lied about that will show similarly older, uneducated, highly "religious" whites are less opposed to marriage equality than are their black equivalents. Feel free to work on getting all those white lesbians who are so opposed to marriage equality. Meanwhile every other "racist" pro-equality group in Maryland like the NAACP, Equality Maryland, the ACLU, etc, etc, will be concentrating on the black community, because that's where the majority of the resistance is. Tell the lesbians I said "hi"!

Race could be a weaker correlation there, or a stronger one, but I don't have the link on that question. Feel free to correlate to your heart's content. I'm sure your white-guilt will lead you to believe it was their shared love of toaster ovens or flying kites which caused 95% of blacks to vote for Obama. Gee, 85%-90% of blacks normally vote for the Democratic candidate, while 10%-15% vote for the GOP candidate in every election since the 1965. That figured jumped to 95% when another black person was on the ticket. Yep, must be the toaster oven which caused an additional 5%-10% of blacks who normally vote Republican in every previous election to suddenly vote for Obama. I look forward to your toaster oven versus kite flying correlation study results..... Btw, doesn't your white-quilt make you feel like a racist just by looking at black voting characteristics?

Actually driving is safer than flying because you are less likely to die in the average car crash than you are in the average plane crash.

That's 1 death per 181 crashes. 42 airplane crashes in 2010 with 828 fatalities. That's an average of almost 20 deaths PER CRASH, but in 35 of those crashes 100% of the passengers died. Now which are you more likely to survive- a plane crash or a car crash?
