Wow B, already dismissing the powerhouse Bucs? ;)
W'sup WB? Not dismissing anybody. Just thinking the Colts are a good measuring stick and have been anticipating that one for awhile now. I don't think that we should put alot of stock in beating a 0-5 team so badly, and the loss by 3 in OT vs the Broncos still stings. So, the Colts, who are probably going to the playoffs, and that game being halfway thru the season...... good game to guage their (Pats) worth.

B, please, its B2B LOL ;)

I agree 100%, I dont place any stock into beating winless teams like Antonio Pierce of the Giants bragged about when they dismantled the Raiders.(only to get torn apart by the saints )

Ive got my calender circled for that colts game. Im saying pats by 3.

OMG.....B2B, I'm so sorry, you are right, what the hell was I thinking? LMAO I'm a creature of habit I guess. I see you kept your avatar. I tried to use my Pats 81 -12 here and my Cavs avatar (that u see) there and Topix won't let me flip/flop.

So, you're on the same page with me in all of this? I mean as far as not pumping your chest up for a 59-0 win over a team that is dismantled and rebuilding? I'm surprised that Pats didn't catch hell for 'running up the score' like years gone by. I guess that comes under "selective reasoning".

What happened to your "powerhouse Bucs?".........J/K

WHOA....I haven't talked to you in ages. You're still hangin in the Pats forums! I was stranded on an island in a b ball forum that had a tsunami. I just wanted to make it back to civilization. lol

The game we are speaking of could possibly be an indication of how the playoffs could tilt. Should be a hell of a match up. By 2 TDs? Alright! I like your thinking.

haha! You mean you have a different name here? Im confused as to why your avatar was removed.

Yes, Im an agreement re: pounding struggling teams. Im happy for the win of course, but this served more as an excercise for the team and Brady's resurgence after his absence.

Speaking of which, What do you make of Coach Fisher wearing a manning Jersey?

According to Dungy, it was merely a joke, but said he would never have done that. Rodney Harrison agreed especially after that pounding, but his motives might have been infact to embarrass his team, igniting a fire within them so to speak.

Obviously the 2 biggest tests-- Colts and Saints, however, the Jets and dolphins games are crucial division wise. The Dolphins have shown that they are a formidable team familiar with the Patriots and we must avenge that loss to the Jets!

A win versus the Colts would be enormous,I have obvious concerns over this,(more to follow on that)but as you said, a great gage for substantial progress.

Beyond the 5 games, the Pats finish out with carolina, Buffalo, Jax, and Texans, which at this point look winnable.

should be intersting...

My post disappeared, so I will try again.

I think Fisher is probably not going to be around next year if he doesn't turn his team around. Maybe his motivational skills are an indication of his coaching skills. I don't remember Titans being this bad last year, do you?

Pats are playing Colts and Jets B2B, so I hope they can get some of that revenge after that RIDICULOUS loss to the Jets. I'd like to be a fly on the wall in the locker room for those motivational speeches and the view would be great! lol

Out of the teams you mentioned, the Saints really scare me. Brees is having a really good year.

The avatar dilema is this.......when you jump to another sport in the forums, you can't have 2 different pix without switching in and out each time. It's a pain because sometimes it takes a day to notice a change. So I stayed on this Cavs pix since this is their start up week.

ok, Mr. Wilson..........time for the Pats to start pulling away from the pack, wouldn't ya say? 5-2 is good, but.......only in this division. Colts, Vikes and Saints got it figured out so far.

5 Pats out/injured....Taylor, Morris, Light, Green. Edelman.
4 Fins out/injured....Ferguson, Crawder, Smith, Davis

Let's get the Brady/Moss show going on.

I expect the Patriots to wipe the floor with the Dolphins today. For that matter, I think that San Diego will have their way with my Giants who have been pitiful. The Egguls will trounce the Boys and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of NO going undefeated with the ridiculously easy schedule they have.

Interesting........Boys and Eagles in a tight division race, tied at 5-2. Eagles have the edge at home field, but you're thinking trouncing? I don't know who all is injured, but they'll be going all out for sure.
Giants don't want to sink any lower as they are also in that same race. They're at home against a 4-3 Charger team. I wouldn't give up on them. By the end of the day, that division will still be close (except for Skins).

I would say you are correct there on all counts. As you know I've said what most NFL insiders know, and that is that the Pats will be a two td favorite here...

Without Westbrook the Eagles just ain't the same, and the Dolphins could use a passing game. The NY Football Giants continue to be lame while the New Orleans Saints keep on rollin' like a train.

The Giants didn't need the Chargers to sneek that last score in there. Loosing by 1 pt really hurts.
And the Boys pulled it off at Philly. What are they saying about Westbrook's concussion?(That QB for the Gators, Tebow, got his little bell rung, but they had a bye, so he got 2 weeks to collect his marbles. Then they put him back in. He was fine.)
Yep, those Saints scare me. Not so sure that they've had the toughest schedule though, but Pats get to host them Nov 30 ESPN 7:30.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Pisces

Whether the excesses of the past few days are catching up with you or you're feeling drained for other reasons, you need as much rest as possible today. Once you get tired, your defenses will be down and you'll start to fret about whatever is currently nagging away at the back of your mind. You're also concerned about the welfare of a certain person, which doesn't help.
