Nope, not even close. In fact, on the day of 9/11, there were only about 15 or less interceptor aircraft guarding the entire country that day. From a tactical stand point,immediate surrender would be your best option,for while YOU don't wish to be armed,and demand to be protected by some one else,most of your opposition IS armed,and don't need help.

Comparing 1776 farmers rifles to a semi automatic rifle is ridiculous. The 18th century invitation to own and carry was designed to bring parity to the fight if the citizens needed to protect themselves from an enemy within or outside coming in to USA territory & civil disturbance ie US Civil War. Todays semi is outgunned by a military full automatic about 400 to 1 in rate of fire per minute.
We conducted joint war games with Australia in the late 1970's the Australian analysis indicated that in a timeline 2000 - 2025 we would have a civil war again - along ethnic and economic divides. Our North central USA and Midwest manufacturing areas are dying. Tax abatement warfare has already broken out among the states to attract business. Eventually educated and largely white America will lose patience with gangs, disrespect for our language and culture and increasing welfare costs caused by illegal immigration, indolence, and a rapidly growing underground economy. WHY ELSE DO YOU THINK EVERY PODUNK POLICE DEPARTMENT ACROSS AMERICA HAS RECEIVED RIOT CONTROL TRAINING AND ASSAULT HARDWARE? HAVE YOU NOT SEEN THE SPOUND ASSAULT DEVICES BEING PLACED AT IN SOME CASES USED AT DEMONSTRATIONS. PD SAYS IT IS TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE CITIZENRY. It's not how many bullets a gun shoots in a minute that is important, it's the one single bullet that hits the machine gunner, that is.
