I just hope that all those cars being trade in are destroyed and not sent out of this country. I hope the federal government is monitoring the sales and proof that the cars have been destroyed. Also, I hope that car dealers are not marking the cars up to give the cnsumer the impression that they are getting a deal. Prior to this the cars where marked up and you talked it down and you are left with the feeling that you are getting a deal. Remember, the car salesman been broke before this peak, and they are looking to make their commission. The car must be sold for a certain amount and then the rest is the commission so I am told. Most consumer should be seening at least $6,000-7,000 off the mark up price. This would be good time for lAPD to cite all those cars parked on city street wit four sale sign just to make sure that these are not sold clunker. I have a feeling that these cars turned in will be back on our streets and they will have been sold to people out of this country or the poorest in our commujnity. I hope the state is getting the VIN numbers so they can not be re-registered.

A lot of those cars will make it out of the country or back on the road with a new vin..and what dose get destroyed the metal will be shipped to China where they will make it into something else and sell it back to us ..cash for clunkers is a failure .by the time you pay for the registration full coverage insurance and car payment you would save more money driving your clunker thats paid for needs only liability insurance and cost very little to register..even if it gets 13 mpg

If we continued the Iraq war then this country spends 10 billion a month. With the war winding down we spent 1 billion and got a lot of gas guzzlers off the road. If you feel that these cars will not be destroyed then I will tell you that charities have to show they are crushed before they get the money."kars for kids" etc..
This is just the start of the stimulus money getting out there to stimulate the economy.
Do you think it worked?
I do!

This is the government trying to sell products in a government run business. Waste of money.

Daily Horoscope for December 12

Taurus

You're in a very analytical mood today and you'll enjoy looking deeply at any situation that you're currently involved in. Ideally, you should have a far-reaching conversation with someone you trust, in which you're both able to say what's on your mind. You might also enjoy reading a psychotherapy or self-help book about some of the issues you're facing right now.
