On the contrary, it's just a few loudmouthed dullards hiding behind internet anonymity trying to oneup one another.
In other words, a ship of self indulgent fools.

One of the reasons our economy is so bad because every ignorant little bitch buys one of these piece of shit imports that don't last as long gives you less proforance and is more expensive to maintain. Its a god damn doch engine in a tuck you dumbasses. If you tree huggers that only buy imports because you think they are better for our envoirnment. its really not because in japan they go about getting there materials in the cheapest way possible which is worse for our envoirnment. just give one of our auto makers a chance you will like they probaly more than the piece of shit you currently drive. stop pumping money into japans economy and start pumping it into OURS!!!
Wow- your language is so offensive! You must have some major baggage your carrying around in life. We're talking about trucks! Relax and enjoy life a bit.

I think the Japanese actually build more cars/engines/transmissions in the U.S. these days than the Detroit automakers. When was the last time you heard of GM, Ford, or Chrysler opening a new plant? GM just announced they aren't going to build a new plant for the new fuel efficient 4-cylinder engine, they will build it at an old inefficient plant.

I don't trust anything the UAW publishes. They can post the list of nameplates they make here, but we all know that GM, Ford, and Chrysler have badge engineering and huge product mix which helps explain their failure. Just yesterday they are predicting that GM will sink to 16% market share in the U.S. while Toyota will remain at 17% with Honda picking up large amounts of market share in the future.

American cars are superior because they have one thing that asian cars don't have, character.

American-badged cars are failing because they lack one thing that the Asian cars have: RELIABILITY

American car companies are failing because they lack one key ingredient on their balance sheet: PROFIT

End of discussion. Glad I could sort it out for you, ya bloke.

GM makes cars/trucks in China and Mexico with their workers making approx. 2.50$ an hour in China, and approx. 1.50$ an hour in Mexico.-Look It UP! The uninformed should not post opinion.

FYI: 85% of the Ford Mustang is made outside the U.S., while 85% of the Toyota Tundra is made INSIDE the U.S..-hmm, it does seem like buying the "BIG 3" only is a smart thing to do! DOH

p.s. It seems that Truckin is one of the few with common sense here.

The Tundra out performs domestics in every meaningful category. Toyota has made it's point and now will focus on small cars.
Isn't the 5.7 engine a Chevy engine? If it were not for Chevy would Toyota even have a NASCAR engine ? Toyota uses a lot of GM parts. Delco electronics also. Chevy uses a lot of Toyota stuff also. So what makes people think one is better then the other? Have you read the latest from consumer reports. Toyota is dropping to the bottom.
