Waiting for the Sienna Hybrid. Also, especially interested in a plug-in hybrid, but will settle for a regular Sienna hybrid for now. Maybe have it converted to a plug-in.

Just like Dave can;t say who I am. I know for sure that the hybrid Sienna will come out in 2012. It will be AWD. Also, it will get above 40 mpg overall.

C'mon people the Sienna is on a six year cycle so you have to wait for the 2010 model year. It'll obviously you the same powertrain as the RX 450h.

no chance you'll find any special deals on a brand new model, especially considering its only competition is from Honda and a lousy minivan from Chrysler.

I have been waiting for over 3 years for the Sienna Hybrid, people in North America have been demanding it for 5 years now. This sounds familiar -- big car companies ignoring their customers for years. Somehow I don't think our government will be bailing out Toyota. Start listening Toyota.

When I visit Hong Kong, our company van is a Toyota Hybrid Estima. We have had this van since early 2008, when we had it imported from Japan.

http://toyota.jp/sp/zeisei/car/03estimah.html

It is a great ride, very smooth and perfect for the urban traffic environment. The only downside is that it the driver's seat is on the right, like in Japan, England, and Hong Kong.

So, there is nothing stopping Toyota from producing a minivan right now. They are just stupid, and not capitalizing on their market leadership position.

In the meantime I just bought a 2nd Prius.

Different issue -- any idea on whether the 2011 Sienna will have an improved Navigation system? I've heard that owners of the 2010 Sienna hate the Navigation system. Also you can't get satellite radio integrated with it, with real-time traffic, like the amazing Ford Fusion system, which I've seen in person and it knocked my socks off. I might have bought the 2010 Sienna if not for the bad Navigation system, which is a show stopper for me. Anyone have any info?

They hybrid probably wont come out cause toyota is scared it wont do well. The Toyota Sienna will be redesigned in the 2010 model year, it is supposed to come out some time in the first quarter of 2010.(it will be marked as 2011 Toyota Sienna)

So the 2010 doesn't seem to have many changes over pervious versions. What are the major interior updates for 2011 and when is procution expected as well as retail availability. I assume these changes will be put in place prior to hybrid....in '12.

I am gratified the Prius continues to provide outstanding efficiency and hope this will extend to a minivan. I would love to see the hybrid Estima imported into this country: not all Americans are so overfed that we need an oversized vehicle. An all-wheel drive, economical minivan is what I hope for; I have a '94 Previa with 135K miles, but will refuse to buy another gas guzzler. With the Depression diminishing, perhaps the Estima can be imported profitably -- I hope!

Daily Horoscope for December 25

Aries

You've got a taste for adventure today, so you might decide to depart from tradition in some way and make it an unusual Christmas. You're certainly all set for a great time, and you'll want everyone else to enjoy themselves as much as possible. You'll probably eat and drink too much but, hey, it's Christmas! Isn't such excess par for the course?
