DO they? Where can I confirm that and where did you get your info? I thought Ford lead the way.

Toyota is leading in recalls, according to motor trend and Detroit news. You can google search to find more.

I have owned 5 toyotas and have never had a recall on one of them. All assembled in the USA.

But what you may not have seen
is that Toyota has already
passed both Ford and GM in a different category -
automotive recalls.

Although we've barely passed mid-February,
Toyota has already recalled! 533,417
vehicles this year in a mix that, according to www.AutoRecalls.us ,
includes Tundras Sequoias and Camry’s. That puts Toyota on track to recall
more than the over 1.76 million autos they recalled in the U.S. and Japan
in 2006, and the 2.2 million they recalled in 2005 when they recalled
more cars than they built.

What's more, the current recall
related to the Turdra trucks and Sequioa SUVs is similar to the same defect
in 800,000 of the same vehicles in 2005.

When i drive any dodge it makes my balls itch!
should i try a ford or will they itch even more.

Toyota recalled more cars than it sold in 2006. They published their own data on this and it is true. Also Toyota is only showing its real quality in the last year because they finally are publishing their REAL warranty numbers in the past 18 months. Toyota hid their warranty problems in "customer appreciation days", with free oil changes or whatever to get the cars into the dealers and then replace parts without the owners knowledge (US carmakers quit doing this decades ago). Toyota only stopped because of a Japanese government investigation about an accident paralyzing a 12 year old girl in a Camry with a steering defect that should have been recalled, and later was (the recall also happened on the US made Toyotas). Why does the media over look this stuff for the Asian car companies? If GM or Ford did this it would have been headlines across the country! Toyota always had average quality and is only perceived as better.

Look, I will never buy anything else but a toyota. I will pay more up front for a real quality car. So if they recall my car for a new gas cap, let them, It's still 75 times less than I'd be going to a mechanic with an american car saying, "HHHMMM, why is my car doing this?"
I have a corolla with 101,000 miles on it. It had one sensor changed, that's it.
You american car lovers will wish you never bought one....your hard earned money, wasted.

I see recalls for everyone...I do see more toyotas than i expected, but that doesn't mean that they are less reliable and durable. Thing is, if it were that bad, I can't see a company like toyota to allow this to keep gong and secondly, they would be in trouble, not ready to steal the show from GM and the other 2 failing us auto makers....again, i'm not arguing or anything, but the toyotas seem to be the most dependable car out there....

Its unfortunate that you small minded american car buyers can't get over the loyalty thing! A few weeks ago, I got side swiped by a teenager, pushed my tacoma over into a ditch (at 55 mph). Every safety item worked like a charm, the front end was destroyed by the hit, I still was abloe to start the engine (crazy noices), put it in 4X4, and let the rear wheel drag me, my wife and what was left of my tacoma out of the ditch....now that's a truck!

Buy japanese...made in the USA!

I've seen the plant in California. Unreal. Stringent quality control is insane. Not to mention Toyota uses vendors that other auto companies do not use. This plus higher tolerances, work ethic, and pride make their vehicles above everyone else.
Check out a recent auto issue of consumer reports. They did a 10yr study on who's vehicle is the least problematic after 10 years. It was Toyota. Honda was second, and it wasn't even a close second. The american autos are generally shot before 5-6 years.
Also when Toyota hires an employee from, let's say GM, Chrysler or even Nissan, they go through serious training just on the ethics of the company. This is why they are knocking over everyone.

Now I know the guys name who owns the dog named
