Toyota Prius Repair Manual on CD

my daughter recently was given her first car... a 1999 japanese imported prius... we need an english manual too please!!
anyone got one? or know where to get one?

The only place that definitely reconditions the Prius hybrid battery is THE BATTERY CLINIC in Auckland, New Zealand. They charge NZ$1500 and apparently Jet World Freight will deliver it there and back for $800. They then reckon the battery is as good as new!

I too have had the scary warning triangle occasionally especially in cold weather or after many very short journeys. The Battery Clinic suggested that, as the car usually runs perfectly, it might be the auxiliary battery running down NOT the hybrid. The auxiliary battery supplies power to the computer controlling the hybrid battery pack - it it is low, the computer can sometimes give wrong error messages!

I am thinking of buying a Prius 1998 for 1500 dollars that does not work. After reading the posts I guess what I am hearing is that you can't repair these cars. Is that still the general idea, so I should steer a wide berth

The HV battery in our 1999 Prius has stopped recharing and the car now wont go. I've heard that there's a relay that can be removed to isolate the HV battery and allow the car to run on only the petrol engine. Does anyone know if this is possible, which relay is to be removed, and does doing this have any adverse affects on the rest of the car's electrical system (eg the engine cooling system)? Thanks.

Be warned I have had my prius in with the BAttery Clinic Auckland 5 times now and it has not fixed it and they are a pain to deal with, I live in NZ so I cannot imagine someone going through the frustration I have been through with them, now I am asking for my money back and he no longer answers my emails. Be very careful and 100% sure the battery is what is wrong, you could risk alot more money for a car that is still stuffed

after about 50 Km, the car did the same, but the car didn't restarted again;
the warning signal with car and exclamation mark has lighted, and displayed a “WARNING” message (similar as in picture bellow).

Toyota Prius Repair Manual on CD. I can't think of a better idea.
Then, when the Prius breaks down along side of the road, you can put the CD in the CD player and try to fix it.
Excellent idea.

Contact the Salvage Bazaar in Melbourne,.. they are always looking for scrap metal.
