I have had a constant water leak in my Liberty for about 1 month now. Rear carpet padding was soaked on both sides. Dealer replaced door seal and roof rack seal, which did not help. Removed interior carpet to dry it out. Today after a good rain, found inside with water again. Traced water back to rear cargo area. Removed wet carpet and started looking. Found water leaking through RH fender flare attach points. Doesn't look like any seals there to me, how do you fix that?

Same problem in my '02 liberty! The carpet of the front driver side and passenger side foot wells are soaking wet. I discovered that even when the carpet does not feel wet if I push on the carpet I can hear water sloashing underneath. The dealer said it is the windshield and the glass people say it is not the windshield. What do I do?

I would suggest checking the roof trim as they are leaking due to poor design

All of a sudden my 03 Liberty is leaking! Seems to be coming in under gas and brake pedals. I have had windshield checked and they say that isn't the problem. How do you fix this? HELP please.

for the roof leak in Jeep Liberty, the roof is in three pieces that are glued together. After a few years the seals break. Put some windshiels sealer that flows in the two seams that are at the top of the roof.

I thought it was related to the A/C but now when it rains, serious puddles...no water anywhere else but the passenger side floor.

My 2002 KJ has water leaking, I checked the sunroof, the drain holes are clear ,it maybe coming in at the bottom of the screen, plays havoc with the electrical system not to mention having to dry out the car, strange, a 4x4 that doesn't like getting wet, what were they thinking ? anyone with ideas (apart from buying a Toyota!)

I have had a water leak in my 2008 jeep liberty for over a year. The dealership has had my car in for repair so many times I have lost count. At one point they had it for over a month straight. Always the same issue, water. During the early days of the leak the water damaged the wires (harness) under the drivers side flooring. The alarm would go off and the lights would flash at random. This went on for months. The dealership had to replace the harness with wiring. They have repeatedly adjusted the sunroof, replaced the seal and stained headliner. To date I still have water coming in. The foam type of padding from the floor is currently hanging in my basement in yet another attempt to dry things out. I guess when I purchased this vehicle it should have come with some restrictions such as you better have a garage and "this vehicle cannot be driven in the rain"' and "use extreme caution when using a hose to wash this vehicle". I have completely lost faith in this company to actually have the capability to repair this water issue. Never been so disappointed - and this is my first car I saved so long for.

I have the same problem with my 2006. I've had it for several years, but only now have the leak problem. Mechanic thought maybe it's the seal on the windshield. I'm having the same problem in my 2008 jeep liberty. They can't find the leak on both side of passenger and driver sides on roof top and the read hatch is now leaking. I've been dealing with this problem since Oct. 2011 and it's still leaking...I'm so over this!!! rick wrote: <quoted text> i also have a 2008 jeep liberty with a rear cargo leak, its a manufacture defect, and in in the process of a law suit with chrysler, they are well aware of the problem
