Great idea... who needs a 6 CD in dash player when you can simply download. I suspect everyone will be following suit... and soon.

IMO...Completely useless thing. Infiniti doesn't need a hard drive to beat competition from Lexus and Acura. They need to continue making great cars.

Waa...you have a new G35.

Infinity is not the first to do this, is been an upgrade on several cars for a couple years.

Im really thinking about trading in my 2006 G35 AWD for the '07, dam it looks good. Better sell it quick before the new G comes out and my '05 is gonna be worth crap =S

A 9.5GB hard drive?! Worthless! I keep all my music on a 80GB music player. Why do I want to download it to another player? Idealy I want a USB based input/controller, or a line input as a minimum. Since the stereo is so integrated with the car I can't really replace it like I always have in my past cars. Without at least a line input I won't buy this car.

It will only get better, wait until cars have the ability to down load the song for your by using your I tunes (or other digital music web sites) accounts, this will be done by either using the Navigation system or by using the radio system, oh and it could have voice recognition. " doors, light my fire, download"

Are you able to rip songs from the compact flash card? Can you rip MP3's from CDs? I am hearing that you can only rip CD's not containing mp3s nor wma.
Does anyone know if this is true?

Simply true.. these are just fancy gizmos to add something on the list of features and what the competition cannot..
Never a replacement for the 6 CD changer...
HOw is the ride ? and wat is the residual value for this car ?

I got the 2007 G35x last week and it is awesome. I had the 2004 model, and this one blows it away in terms of handling and agility. Where I used to brake around sharp curves, I find much less need to do so now. And the styling is phenomenal. Love the navigation system, too. I am still trying to figure out the flash drive, but to answer a previous poster's concerns, there is an input for your iPod inside the center console. No need for an FM transmitter. Love this car!

I also bought the new 2007 G35X Been having problems with the heated seats. They just don't get hot and dealer says that's just how they are. So now I am filing a claim with Infiniti. First time buying Infiniti, not too impressed with the service.

I previously had heated seats in my Acura that I was very happy with, and I can say that without a doubt the heated seats in the Infiniti provide a great deal of heat, even more so than my Acura. I have no complaints whatsoever about the heated seats in my G35X.

I'm having the same problem with the seats - drivers side only seems to use low heat - switch doesn't make a difference and you can barely tell it's on. Passenger side high only works seat back. Low only works seat bottom. Let me know if you have this same issue and if it gets resolved. thanks!

My seats are the same. Infiniti claims that is how the seats are suppose to be. The dealer did temperature checks on my seats, and said they are within the accepted range. To me it kind of defeats the purpose of having heated seats! We are still in the process of complaining to Infiniti. I bet in the near future they will do something if enough people complain.

I just bought a new 2007 G35X and the heated seats are slow to warm up at high and the heat is almost undetectable at low. The dealer first said nothing wrong later claimed they fixed it, but still nowhere near the old car we had before. If you do a quick Google search, you'll find a number of same complains in other forums. Who knows how to complain to Infiniti directly?
