We heard this bunk from Toyota and Honda too as they wrap themselves in the American flag. But consider when Honda built its Ohio plants in the 1980s, most of the suppliers at that time were Japanese owned and operated. What no Asian-based car company can deny is that the American dollar still finds its way to Seoul and Toyko. Case closed.

Isn't this what Toyota was saying once upon a time? Also, The Genesis is probably the only thing I would ever consider purchasing from Hyundai. It seems like a pretty good car for a Hyundai but to be honest, I still wouldn't own one.

Haven't you heard this same "bunk" from "American" car companies that build cars elsewhere? Last I checked, Mexico and Ontario and Quebec were not American States. What no American-based car company can deny is that the American dollar still finds its way to Mexico and Canada. Cars can still be profitably built in this country, and be built well. But not at UAW wages and plants. The proof is in the marketplace.

It's the same kind of rhetoric we here about the profits from foreign companies in the U.S. going back to their country of orgin. What these people forget is, that there are plenty of American (GM, Ford, Boeing, Nike, Catepillar etc.) companies in foreign countries that send their profits back to the U.S. I guess it's easier to criticize someone when you don't look at the full story. Ignorance is bliss to some folks.

Why would they come out and say it today? maybe because they know they are raping America of it's middleclass so they are trying to do a preventive strike first? just saying, 100% of the Profits go to South Korea, Toyko and China, Country First

Sure, profits go to foreign execs and shareholders. They also go towards reinvesting in their American factories and hiring more Americans. Where do Ford and GM profits go?? WHAT PROFITS??

The Big 3 (or 2 or whatever it is right now) serve to make profits and build shareholder equity. Hiring Americans in America and "Country First" ain't listed in their prospectuses. The same goes for foreign auto companies, but they're able to make a business case for building cars in America. Not in UAW Michigan or Ohio, but in the business-friendly South.

Buy a Ford, the ONLY true independently owned and operated AMERICAN car company. They will be here long after those plastic Korean Kars are clogging up the junk yards. The success of Hyundai proves once again how stupid the American consumer is. They would buy vehicles made by Muslim terrorists if the price was right. Then they wonder why they don't have a job?

Hmmm, last time I looked at a map of America, Canada was is in America, Mexico was in America. Did you somehow get these two countries moved to another continent?
