Everytime I read a story and there's only one comment, it's some uneducated moron making some idiotic comment insulting Obama, completely devoid of relevent or insightful comments on the actual story. You've made people who didn't vote for Obama look like a group of idiots and insulted Muslims in the process. By the way, I believe you spelled "Allah" wrong.

I hope the plan works because if it does and GM comes back, the government could stand to make a substantial profit on the sale of the stock. However I think in trying to come up with new cars for the kids today it sounds like they're still letting the old guys make the marketing choices. I don't know any 20-something who wants to own a car called a "Volt" but maybe I'm mistaken.

Well, all I have to say to this is as follows: If we've learned one thing, it's that you should say CHANGE as often as possible. Just keep saying it, and all will be well.

Ol' Fritzy's following the formula well.

BO will have GM making 3 cylinder cars when gas is at $1.50 gal.

The whole "green" program is nothing more than BO granting General Electric billions of dollars of contracts....and since GE is the parent company of NBC/CNBC/MSNBC/USA Network/Telemundo we can now understand why Immelt and Zucker (NBC head minions) stroke the BO admin. like never before seen by a supposedly unbiased media outlet.

Despite how much liberals want to try to get us to ignore key facts, the reality is GM is still hobbled by the greedy unions, the government's commandments that the car companies make small cars, etc. These issues will make profitability really tough.

One question is will the government use it's power to give GM (and Chrysler) an unfair advantage over the other car companies?

The other car companies have to be worried about this issue and thus they will be more careful about their investments. Frankly, all of this liberalism is killing the entire industry.

Another fact is that while the liberals hate the car companies for making SUVs, they make a lot of profit on the SUVs - enough to subsidize the small cars.

I think Toyota has to sell six Corollas to make as much as one Tundra truck.

Basically (and not a surprise to anyone who follows liberalism), the economics of the industry don't fit the liberal view for the industry.

If GM is going to sell cars on Ebay then it's time to roll out a sales tax on the internet.

I will not buy a GM car. For the government to have thrown the bondholders out as garbage blows my mind.

This is redistribution of wealth, it is against the law. A lot of just average people held these bonds and relied on them for their retirement and it's a measly 17% of investment.

This Henderson is a moron if he is proud of this company after what they did to the bond and stock holders. And the union, the biggest culprit was rewarded. Give me a break.

This used to be America but congress and politics have ruined it. WE NEED TO THROW THE BUMBS OUT, ALL OF THEM, ESPECIALLY THE SENATE "GOOD O'L BOYS CLUB" AND ELECT NEW AND PUT IN TERM LIMITS.

Since I own a piece of GM because I am a taxpayer , I would like to know when I get my money back? If GM pays the government back , do I get a refund or at least a piece of the proposed IPO? Just curious as to how this affects me directly?

Do you ever get anything right? I mean once you stop advertising hack political theories, attacking the dems and Obama, and blaming the underclasses for their failings, do you have anything to say? If this post is any indication, you do not.

You obviously have no idea what the relative costs of US versus Japanese cars are ... and one has not been able to give American SUVs away for a while. So, I guess Alz, you wouldn't cut it as a car salesman. And as to the "liberal" view of the industry, whose view is that? What is the "liberal" view of the industry? What URL can I look at to see that? Which CNBC clip did you get your info from?

A total fraud. 2000+ posts and not a single original point to make! Thank goodness you are not being charged by the post. You would make GM seem efficient and productive.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Scorpio

A loved one is extremely upset today, and you'll soon know all about it. Things are out of proportion, so a minor hitch becomes a huge drama that means you've got to drop everything in order to calm them down. Hey ho. At least it won't last long. If you're doing some last-minute Christmas shopping, you won't have as much patience as usual and nor will anyone else.
