How do I shut off the 'maintenance required' light on my 2002 Honda CR-V?

How do I shut off the 'maintenance required' light on my 2002 Honda CR-V?

and now an intelligent answer. the maintenance required lite is just to remind you when you are do for an oil change or check up. it does not mean that their is a mechanical problem, the check engine lite covers that. to shut off the light simply put turn your key to the number one position and hold down the trip meatier button for 5 seconds, then with the trip meatier still held down turn the key to the number 2 position and continue holding it down for another 5 seconds. it should then shut off.
Note: their are 3 positions on the ignition, 1 is radio power, 2 is engine power, and 3 is to start the engine.

You can also try holding the trip reset button in, continue hold in and start the car,continue holding for 15 sec light should go out. That worked on my 2002 Accord
