The old one (CRV 2006) looks much better. The new one look smaller than the old one even though it's width is approximately 3.0 cm wider. I like 2006 style more than this 2007 and I will wait until the next model change of 2011. I think Honda is going the wrong way this time.

Looks are a matter of opinion but the real catastrophy is the decontenting of all the useful interior and exterior functions that made the CR-V a swiss army knife type of vehicle! Gone is the matching full size spare tire and remote opening rear glass hatch! The passenger side door and rear tailgate key holes have also vanished! The 2 large CD Storage compartments in the center console stack are history! The in dash multi-sized cupholder is gone and the 3 size cupholders in the center folding table and rear armrest have all been downgraded to a single size holder each! The LX now comes with a dwarf sized radio with tiny knobs and buttons! The front grilles and rear license plate trim are now black plastic on the LX as well! The picnic table is also history, but it could support more than 20lbs. like the cheap shelf divider they give you now, but the LX does not even come with it! Honda really got cheap with this 3rd generation excuse for a CR-V! Only the people who own a 2nd generation model would miss all the great features that were standard equipment, and unfortunately are not even available as options on the 2007!

Dear Gollira: I just own 2006 CRV sporty version in Thailand for a few weeks . The new CRV 2007 is going to launce in Thailand in the next 2-3 months. I would like to learn from you which one is better. Did I go my wrong way to buy 2006 CRV 2.4 Liter sporty version instead of waiting just a few months for the new 2007 CRV ?. In my opinion, I love 2006 CRV more than the new look 2007.

Dear Gorilla: I am very impressed by your comments above but I don't know what does it mean for the phrase of "a swiss army knife type of vehicle". Please explain to me the meaning of this slang. I am a Thai people who is not so keen in American Slangs. Thank you so much.

I don't like the '07 at all.
I am sticking with my 2003 CR-V for the next 15 years.

A Swiss Army Knife has several Blades,Screwdrivers and Useful Tools built right into it! It can be used for dozens of applications! The 2nd generation CR-V had many useful items as standard equipment, such as the picnic table! That is why I compared the Two,they are both similar in their applications!

We can all agree on one fact--Honda makes one great car and truck. No other vehicle holds it's value or is built so well for the money!!
