I recently had the shifter solenoid changed due to a check engine light and the shop had told me that my transmission had been starting off in 2nd gear but when they replaced the shifter solenoid it 1st gear started working again. but now it wont shift into 3rd gear the car just bogs down. the shop says I need a new transmission but I find it odd that the same day I pick it up from having the solenoid changed that the transmission died. are there any connections on the transmission that they could have hooked up backwards or not at all just to try and make some extra money? or is it true what they say and my transmission is junk?
