"According to court documents, the six plants to be closed include Sterling Heights Assembly Plant, Detroit Axle and the Connor Avenue plant, also in Detroit. Sterling Heights and Detroit Axle are to be leased back to Chrysler until they close by December 2010, according to court documents.

The three other operating plants to close are St. Louis North, Kenosha Engine in Indiana and Twinsburg Stamping in Ohio."

Kenosha isn't in IN, I think it's Wisconsin but not sure. As far as i know only plants left in IN are the transmission plants (3 of them).

There are 4 plants in Indiana, none of them Kenosha Engine (Wisconsin). Indiana has 1 Casting Plant and 3 Transmission plants all 4 are in Kokomo.

This bankruptcy is only on paper. The Company was bled white with the connivance of the Union accounting officials. Run properly and with an eye to the future, Chrysler would still be solvent and able to weather the hard times.

The same type of operation is being run against GM.

This whole operation comes from the heart of United States capitalism and is designed to lower the standard of living further; to put the U.S. people more in debt and to tranfer more of Chrysler's profits to the financial institutions.

I think it's proper Chrysler is working with Fiat. They are a company in a communist/socialist company.

I spoke with Bill Parker this afternoon and no one at SHAP has been notified of this closing. In fact, fiat is supposed to be coming next week to look at the viability of our plant. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Everything good at Walmart in Carmel. Worked at KTP through my internship as engineer now I am a Pharmacist at Walmart. What a great decision that was. Put me down for 10 hours both Saturday and Sunday. Thanks Chrysler for paying for College.

Yes. Jeep will always be around because people love it. Your dealer may change. You will always have service available and the warranties are backed by the government. These times are so tough that you may never get a lower price than right now. I do know for a fact that Wranglers are the best seller right at the moment (spring). Some dealers are running low on merchandise. If you want one, buy it now or wait a really long time for factories to open up again.
