Has any one had problems with their newer model mustang? My car has 34,000 miles and two sets of tires. At 8,000 miles my tires were cupped. Prior to the problem I had rotations and balancing every other oil change. Long story short, Ford says it is a tire problem. I ask how are the tires becoming cupped, I never get an answer. New set of tires, had an alignment, balancing, tire pressure all things done. Did not want to go through that again. Ford did not replace the tires. The tire co did. Anyway, 8,000 to 10,000 I am back in the same exact situation. Ford will not do anything, except to tell me to buy new tires. I have contact Better Business Bureau, consumer affairs, Ford Motor Corp. BBB told Ford to fix the car. Left the dealership a few days ago and they did nothing. Another meeting coming up with BBB and I will see what they say this time. I am so frustrated and angry, will never buy another "Ford"! I have owned many cars in my time and never experienced anything like this, I bought the car new. Has anyone had any problems with front end/suspension, tires on their mustang?

Yes I have my car is 05 which is pretty much the same as yours and it only has 40 k the whole front end is ruined they say it's ball joints and tie rod ends which I think is pretty crazy for a car that's never been raced it would barely be out of warranty if you went by mileage there are also about 8 other things going wrong.... Starting to think I got a lemon??

How did you find out about your problem? Did you have front end noise? What else is wrong with yours? Sorry about all the questions! I have been feeling like I have a lemon as well. I just do not get it, there is an obvious problem with mine and Ford does not care.

Well it started making a sort of popping sound occasionally at like 25k then it started shimmying in front. Now it's all out dangerous.. Getting it fixed today. The other things... When it idles for a long time it has a light knocking noise. The tachometer has totally quit working and now the other gauges have started not working occasionally. The radio quit working the other day... Messed with it, it ended up coming back on. Several other pieces broken on interior... This car has been well maintained and kept as well.

Kari, thanks for taking the time to tell me about your mustang. Sorry to hear you are having all those problems, just not right. Did you ever take it to a Dealership? I have been reading all types of problems on line. Well, good luck! I am going for my second hearing with BBB on the 24th, this battle has been going on since April of 2010.

I have a 05 and it rides like a tank. Have had to replace 2 broke control arms at a 1,000 dollars ,makes a rattling noise cornering at low speeds in the rear end.and my tranny has been acting up, shifting hard or slipping . I only have 60 k miles and it feels like freddy flinstones car with rocks for wheels. Ford is covering up there poor and weak design.all in a attempt to save a dime. I will never buy a Ford again

I do not understand these mustangs, there is a lot of them out there are we the only ones with problems?
I have been to Better Business Bureau hearings concerning my car and after fighting with dealerships and Ford they are suppose to replace my car. I will believe it when I see it. I really like my car and
do not want to give it up, however, after hearing the problems that you guys have! What is going to fall apart next?

No Valerie you are not the only one. I have an 07 Mustang GT with a little over 32,000 miles on it. Back in july of 09 with around 29,000 miles it started making a banging noise whenever i would go over a bump (still doing it to this day) My warranty was going to run out Aug.09 so i took it to the dealership and told them what it was doing and thought it maybe the wheel bearings. They kept it all day and called to say it was ready, when i got to the dealership the guy said it was the tires. i told him that i just had bought new tire not even 6 mos ago, but he assured me it was the tires. Me thinking i had bought some bad tire off of ebay bought another set that cost me 800.00 still does the same thing and now my warranty it out. Called ford and they will not do anything about this problem.I told them the car didn't even have 36,000 miles yet and all they said was the warranty is good for 3 years or 36,000 whichever comes first...Did you have any luck with the BBB?

Hi Trevor,

I am waiting to hear what Ford is going to do. BBB told them they have to replace my car. So, I guess it
will be new, but I am doubting that Ford will follow through. There is a tech service bulletins for what sounds like your problem.
Bulletin #TSB 07-18-2, "front end noise over bumps".
It is your front upper strut mounts and Ford knows about it, it is not your tires. I have done soooo much research on these cars it has driven me crazy.
In the begining they had me believing it was my tires as well. I had the tire co replace the tires (free) and the same problem came back 8,000 miles later. Ford should shot!

HI, I am having lots of the same problems with my 07 v6 stang. started with control arm and from there the whole front has started to go bad. i have def had the same issue with tires and its not the tiers i have had 5 sets of tires and my car only has 70k on it. and the back end is starting to go now too, i took it in to get it looked at and the rubber bushings that hold the rear axle are gone so now its metal on metal and makes a bad metal noise when u go over bumps, and the rear axle slides back and forth when u go over bumps cuz the rubber bushings are gone....Really starting to regret getting this car!

I was driving my 07 mustang in a neighborhood about 25 mph, I heard a pop in the front end and when I came to make a turn, the car wouldn't turn. I bounced off the curb(thank god I was going slow) and destroyed the whole right side of the suspension. It looks like the lower control arm snapped. The right tire is pointing straight out to the right while the left tire is almost pointing straight forward. Tow truck driver said he just towed an 07 last week and both front suspension broke at the same time!!! Boy I feel safe in this piece of crap

Daily Horoscope for May 22

The sad fact is that a certain person isn't making much sense right now. They seem to be talking nonsense, or maybe they've got the wrong end of the stick but are hanging on to it for grim death and refuse to let you correct them. Mind you, there's also the possibility that you're the one who has got themselves in a muddle but doesn't realize it. Scary!
