Read the article and it sounds like the new Ram HD is pretty boring, they didn't change much. They are also imported from Mexico. I don't think Chrysler will be alive in the 4th quarter to launch them.

hey eCONomist, did you read the right article? I've owned a 03,04, and now a06 ram 2500 quad cab all laramies.Didn't change much? Only the exterior, interior, payload, ride ,h.p., My 06 was made in mexico and i never had a problem with any of my Rams. the mexico plant will soon be used to make nissan titans not dodge. you sideliners make me laugh,I live in NH and work my trucks hard in some of the worst weather in the country. chevy, ford, and dodge are not trying to re-invent the wheel, just trying to one up the competition. coffee breaks over gotta go.

By the way the Tundra would rappe your hemi, low budget, POS. It would grab that thing by its baby horns and have its way with it. You better hurry and get your prized mickey mouse truck before they close their dors forever. Chrysler's days are numbered.

The new 09 Ram literally stripped the tundra of the “new truck crown.” Look it up, the truth hurts sometimes.

Dodge knocked Ford from the #1 sales spot for commercial/industrial trucks and have only been back in the market a couple years. It's a highly profitable market their trucks do well in,They should not have left.

mr.mullet: why so angry? toyota hoped to sell 200,000 tundras per year when they invested 1billion in production.they fell way short of this goal every year and showed their first loss in 50yrs I can go back and forth with you all day with my trucks better than yours, but i haven't been a teenager in decades. you haven't even seen my truck but it is very nice it cost $41,500.00 and another $8,000.00 in aftermarket parts. I'm sure this cost more than the dbl wide you live in with your parents but if you spend your time on the computer taking an internet GED class I may give you a job with my constuction company as a laborer and one day you may own a truck like mine. cheers

Another horrible set of offerings from Dodge. With bankruptcy looming, I don't see many buyers lining up knowing that warranty and service contracts won't be offered. The only thing good about a Dodge HD is the Cummins offering.

Congratulations- you win this (who will die first contest) mr mopar must be so proud. You do construction hu? too bad. Play that lotto homie. You can then afford to move away from the arm pit of america and maybe afford to buy a new Tundra. For now- you'll have to do with your chrysler crp. Get a fortunre cookie- play them #'s. Good luck pal.

News reports out of Detroit indicate that Chrysler is not paying its suppliers. That's one way to bolster cashflow, but soon they'll be cutoff on the parts supply. Then again, they may not need any more parts because the public will not purchase their rubbish.

They don't have a frame capable of mounting anything like a crane or utility box So unlikely you ever will,It's not built to work.

Early validation reports indicate that Dodge Rams still have weak transmissions and ball joints. I wouldn't load them up too much, you'll likely suffer the fate of countless othe Ram owners. Not to mention the 8mpg that these pigs get. Wake up people, Chrysler sales are down 55% and the public has spoken and doesn't want their product.

mr.mullet: thanks for your concern for my company, but it's not my first recession, all of my eggs are not in one basket. I'll still hold a job open for you if you get your GED. go to pickuptruck.com and look up jan 2009 top 10 truck sales. ram is #3 and tacoma #5 with tundra #6 if the dodge dakota outsold the ram i would be embarrassed .then go to lemonauto.com and look up your beloved tundra the list is to long for me to state here, camshafts, driveshaft yokes, etc. you remind me of the scarecrow,"if i only had a brain" take care Mr. mullet

Does a little Mexican worker come with the purchase of a Mexican-made Ram HD? News reports indicate that Chrysler is behind on its payments to Cummins and Cummins may no longer supply their light duty diesel to Chrysler unless Chrysler becomes current on accounts payables and for engineering/development costs.

New for this year, a Mexican with every Dodge Ram. That's to kick the crap out of the little Asian guy that comes with the Tundra. By the way they are dropping the old and obsolete v8 from the Tundra.
