Even now at Belvidere they still need new people from the streets. I was on my way to the benefit Reps. office & over heard the HR dept rep on the phone they are still in need of people for work. So if there are people out of work why the need for new people when there are people out of work from Chrysler at other plants?

because they have been offered a chance to come but turned it down. One of the people i was training this week was told at her oriantation that theyve had a 30% failure rate with new hires, either by not being able to do the job or people just not showing back up after a day or two. guess at this point theyre going to be 150 people shy to start up second shift on the 17th. Not to mention the fact that most of the transfers coming in now have pqx's(restrictions) I was told the other day that trim department that has about 250 people now has 86 with restrictions. They can't figure out what to do with most of them. I say walk them out the door like they have been doing with new hires that cant do the job theyre put on, and at least the new hires are trying. Theyve brought a couple of these transfers into my area and they dont even try they just look at the jobs and refuse to even try. If you don't want to work what the hell are they even coming here for???

No we're getting people from Newark and detroit also maybe more. From what i've been told and what has been put out by the union is that there was still about 850 people still on lay off in the corperation of that i guess only about 250 took he offer for the temporary second shift. The rest are the temps we had before and new hires off the street.

They don't if 2nd shift will be permanent until Jan 30. We sign up for permanent also but won't know until then. But surely the Company does not want to pay someone 50K to relocate for 2nd shift until they know for sure it will be permanent. A lot of people don't want to move temporarily for 1 to 5 months for only 5k before taxes. WE only did it to save sub & unemployment.
I also think they are waiting for after this round of buyouts so they will know who to place where and how many.(?)

So what does that have to do with it? So your saying if you don't get your way you should just run to medical and get a pqx? And does it really mater? The jobs are pretty much the same across the board. There really are no good jobs left. And alot of these people are coming in with restriction. The last time I check you were not aloud to transfer if you had any pqx's.

As far as the Jan. 30 date.haha Every schedule I've seen says second shift ends Dec.23. In my opion and alot of others this is just a trial run at starting up a shift temporarally when demand calls for it. And I think management it setting it up to fail. When they are bringing in 60+ year old new hires, and sticking them on the hardest jobs and smiling when they walk them to the gate a few day later. While they take the nice looking women and put them on the easiest jobs. Or should I say they move them to the easiest jobs after 1 day on a little harder job. If they wanted it to work I would think they would give everyone a chance to move to a little easier job if the first oone wasn't working for them. And I've seen this first hand twice now just on my team of 6 people. and I mean in both instances. older people being thrown out the door while the younger ladies were moved to the 2 easiest jobs when they couldn't handle theyre original asignment!!!

In other words he/she is probably the laziest sob on the line. I know first hand about most T-Leaders and he/she is one of them. The biggest and laziest complainers in the plant. Oh they also think they are the brightest people because they are T-Leaders. Not all of them but most of them. And this person just from what I have read is one of them.

Oh and trust me I use that voice!!!! Everyone that knows me knows that but at the end of the day it does know good!!!! Just remember this is the new Chrysler do what your told or get out!! No I don't like it but thats the way it is. I got 4 kids to feed so I need the job. If you think you can do any better then do it yourself and see where it gets you. I've stood up to management in the past and found myself being lead to the gate. Was greeted 2 days later by a standing ovation by my team but when it came down to it all that happened was 2 days lost pay!!!! And things have gotten worse since then.

first off, it's not your TEAM, your plant, its not your anything. It is fiats, these ukers pump u team leaders with a little heady BS and you believe you are king of the world. It is true that most team leaders are oppertunist lazy sobs just like those lazy tpm secraterys in trades. Let the sorry supervisors do their job and u card carrying uaw peeps do yours, remember u are not management. if u want to be, throw down that dam union card.

For one......... a Team Leader's opinion doesn't mean squat!!!!!!!! Most are suckass's who want it easy.... and are greedy for more money. When you TL's took the job......... you broke away from the rest of your union brothers and sisters. Hope it was worth it!!!

Next, if someone is on restrictions.... it's because a licensed doctor put them in them. What business of anyone elses is it??? It's not!!! Worry about your own damn self and your own damn job. Of course the TL's feel the need to get in everyones business because they think they are the boss. LOL!!! We all laugh and make fun of you idiots!!! Only 10% of Tl's are worth a crap. The rest are lazy, nosey, dipshits that think they are better than everyone else. LOL!!! Get real!!!

I for one, come to work and do my job......... no more..... no less. That's the best way to do things and these TL's are getting much more than they bargained for. Bunch of corporate ass kissing traders. Worry about your damn selves
guess who

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Pisces

You're thinking along very inventive lines today, which is brilliant if you're trying to decide what you want to achieve in 2010. Get out a notebook or diary and start jotting down your ideas, so there's no danger of forgetting them.
