Chrysler employees stike over pay
While GM and Ford report record high profit sharing, Chrysler workers are threatening to strike. The reason is because Chrysler employees would have received around $5,000 in profit sharing if Fiat SPa didn't drain Chrysler of all their profits. In order for Fiat to avoid bancruptcy in 2013, they took all of Chrysler profits. Due to this, Chrysler employees will only be paid out $1000 in profit sharing, the uaw is calling the pay out fair, while employees think it was all hard work for literally pennies.
yes they have been feeding us peanuts for years. it may be time to hit the strike. May have to work at the temp agencies for a while while the strike goes on.

In the 3rd Qrt profit release it showed that the Modified Operating Profit was 2.1 Billion. So that right there is $2,000. With the release of the Grand Cherokee this Qrt its not out of the realm to have a 1billion Qrt (last Qrt was 800million) I could see us hitting 3k. No where close to 5k though.

You do realize ther is a no strike clause in our contract right? Don't see how anyone can complain about profit sharing. Chrysler is smaller than Ford and GM. So we dont have as much revenue coming in. So our profits, if any we are fortunate to have, will be less. So we get less profit sharing. It's not a big deal.

Fiat will pay the trust $1.75 billion in cash, and Chrysler will make a $1.9 billion contribution. Chrysler also agreed to pay the trust $700 million over four annual installments once the sale closes.

For hours worked in any given year, you do not have to keep a running tally of hours worked. If you call the service center they will tell you how many hours You personally have worked.

Chrysler has 17 billion in cash that fiat was unable to touch until the veba deal was done now that that it is that money will be used to prop up fiat in Italy but we are controlled under American laws when it comes to the gaap rules generally accepted accounting practices how much of a profit sharing I don't which I really do but ask the idiots that have been elected as stewards committee person financial sec that is if they can read.

If Fiat can take control of the money, it seemingly needs to be allowed only after the deal is done. Therefore, the profits from 2013 remain and are included in the allocation of the profit sharing. Otherwise I see a class action lawsuit coming from all employees as a breech of contract, Wouldn't that put a bucket of water on their BBQ?

Approximately 32,000 Chrysler hourly workers are in line to make a few hundred extra dollars. Eric Selle, analyst at J.P. Morgan & Co., projects a Chrysler net profit of between $3.3 billion and $3.8 billion, translating to a per-worker profit ranging from $2,750 and $3,250.
