Wasn't it Mitt Romney who said "let the America car industry go belly-up?"

Wasn't it Obama who said "let's save them and give the industry a chance to recover?"

GM is finally starting to get it's house in order,
and it took a scary moment for the unions to
finally get the message. However, the unions always wait until it becomes too little and too late before becoming realistic. We will see if
this is temporary at best, or whether we
taxpayers are going to be called on again to
bail them out. OH well, at least GM
will be able to pay back some of it's debt,
provided that some of the 7 billion has
been put in the bank.

My view is that it is way too early to declare victory.
Let us see whether GM and the unions can build on it,
or retreat into the same old funk that has plagued the
US auto industry for years.

The $9 BILLION dollar Pension shortfall wipes out ANY profit and potends a dismal future for GM and the pitiful American tax slaves who were forced to spend $55 Billion to save it.

Oh, but I'll bet if a Republican had pulled the car companies from the brink you'd be throwing confetti, shooting off celebratory gunfire and demanding his/her name be carved in stone, right?

Daily Horoscope for May 20

Cancer

Your mind is working well, so give it plenty of exercise. You could get involved in an intellectual discussion that forces you to think things through for yourself, or you might have to do some serious thinking about a forthcoming travel plan. If you're often wary of saying what you think you'll feel much braver about speaking up today, which is good news if you want to fight your corner or express your point of view.
