STOP CORPORATE WELFARE TO BIG DIRTY OIL!
Your right. Why build the pipeline when we know its heading to China or some other country other than the USA! Why give oil companies more MONEY! What does the US get in return? NOTHING long lasting!! Show me one job which is long lasting? Most are here today gone tomorrow and you cannot raise a family in which I guess is good because of over world population!! All the oil companies have received so much "CORPARATE WELFARE MONEY" lets diversify now before it’s too late! We used up half of the oil supply in 2007 and the price is just going to keep getting higher. Oil companies are not our friends and what is the harm in diversifying our energy needs? Let’s quit being the oil company’s bitch!!

MSO4, "When Bush was in office and gas was high, we also had a 5% unemployment rate." By the time Barack Obama was inaugurated in 2009, the US economy was hemorrhaging over 300,000 jobs ! G W Bush barely slowed the freefall with government bailouts to some of the largest Wall Street banks and government loans to GM and Chrysler ,but without any rational plan to get Wall Street to reform , pay back the government loans or any workable way for GM and Chrysler to actually get back to manufacturing affordable US cars that people would actually want to buy---until Obama was elected and succeeded at returning order to our banking system, and reopening once shuttered US auto plants, and encouraging US companies like GE to start insourcing--opening plants in America and bringing American jobs back home like he brought our American servicemen back home with the end of war in Iraq and winding down of Afghanistan

Um in the 1800,s every main rail track was tax payer funded....ALL roads and gas line infrastructure was tax payer funded......We would have NEVER had railroads or car roads without TAX payer money moron.........Time to get some facts sparky. How is you tax payer water and sewer and police and fire fighters and military and schools a libraries and roads and Dams and water ways and etc etc etc etc etc working for ya. Without the tax payer services we ALL enjoy our nation would become a third world cesspool....Oh what fun that would be huh.
Yep, as with our roads, school, post office, railroads and now healthcare are funded by us taxpayers, once the government comes into run them then all hell breaks loose. Our railroad systems are going bankrupt, our post office is going bankrupt, our schools are failing because our teachers hands are tied with bureaucracy and union red tape, chevy had to build the volt which is a failure, our welfare/entitlement programs are out of control and now healthcare. I don't mind paying taxes but we are becoming a society of entitlements. The oil companies are given tax benefits for one because of the amount of people they employ. What happens when they no longer receive these tax breaks, more unemployment. Open up keystone so more people can go back to work. Continue working on alternative means of energy but stop focusing solely on that and making us tax payers pay for failed alternative resources and forcing us to buy light bulbs that cost more than an average lamp. Open up your eyes to the failures on both sides but this administration is putting us further into debt and we are becoming dependent on foreign countries, who don't even like us, to borrow money from. Wake up America we are going to be a society of well-to-dos and the very poor no middle class.

Glad to know Obama has NO control over that $4 a gallon gas. Matter of fact, according to some, nothing is ever Obama's fault, as it is always easier to blame Bush who by the way has been out of office for almost 3 1/2 years. Yet Obama is never to blame.

Last Friday, Mr. Obama wandered into the killing of Trayvon Martin. Aided by his ignorance of the situation, knee-jerk prejudices and tendency toward racial profiling, Mr. Obama played a heavy hand in elevating a tragic situation in which a teenager was killed into a full-blown hot race fight.

Americans, he admonished, need to do some “soul-searching.” And then, utterly inexplicably, he veered off into this bizarre tangent about how he and the poor dead kid look so much alike they could be father and son. It was election-year race-pandering gone horribly wrong.

• By the start of this week, Mr. Obama had fled town and was racing to the other side of the planet just as the Supreme Court was taking up the potentially-embarrassing matter of Obamacare. While in South Korea he was caught on a hidden mic negotiating with the president of our longest-standing rival on how to sell America and her allies down the river once he gets past the next election.

• Meanwhile, back at home, the Supreme Court took up the single most important achievement of Mr. Obama’s presidency and, boy, was it embarrassing. The great constitutional law professor, it turns out, may not quite be the wizard he told us he was.

By most accounts, Mr. Obama and his stuttering lawyers were all but laughed out of the courthouse. They were even stumbling over softball questions lobbed by Mr. Obama’s own hand-picked justices.

• Mr. Obama closed his week pulling off a nearly unimaginable feat: He managed to totally and completely unify the nastily-fighting Democrats and Republicans in Congress. Late Wednesday night, they unanimously voted — 414 to zip — to reject the budget Mr. Obama had presented, leaving him not even a thin lily’s blade to hide behind.

So, in one week, Mr. Obama got caught whispering promises to our enemy, incited a race war, raised serious questions about his understanding of the Constitution, and then got smacked down over his proposed budget that was so wildly reckless that even Democrats in Congress could not support it.

What is scary is that the 20% has grown from 13%.

That is a nearly doubling of the profoundly stupid in our great nation.
