02 Silverado 5.3L slow to start

This past week my truck has been hesitant to start, but the problem is intermittent. Sometimes it pops right off, other times it needs to crank for 7-8 seconds before starting.

Fuel filter, maybe? Truck runs fine otherwise, no noticeable lack of power once started. 125K miles.

I would think the battery is going bad, or low fuel pressure (clogged fuel filter/lines or fuel pump going bad).

It was the fuel pressure regulator! When replacing, don't forget to OPEN YOUR GAS CAP. I got a face full of gas, even after I thought I had all the pressure bled off via the service valve.
