The bcm and the ccm are the same part, and it likely isn't the cause of a c4 corvette not starting. The ecm may be.

Concerning the bcm, I've been trying to locate a rebuildable unit for my c4 Corvette for a few months now. The other option of having my own bcm rebuilt (assuming it can be rebuilt) while my car sits out of service for a feew weeks is not palatable. GM has been reluctant to give out vital programming info to rebuilders, and no new units exist anymore. BCM failure is very common in these cars.

this is to vette guy.....you sound like you know about this non starting problem. I replaced my ECM but she still won't start....what next? A friend said he thinks it's the fuel pump. It will start with starter fluid but will not keep running on it's on. Any suggestions before I have to have her towed to a dealership where I know, I'll spend alot of money....please help...

I had the same no start problem with my 92 C4 LT1. Everyone told me it was the distributor but by using the test procedure in the factory shop manual I found it to be a faulty ignition module which is mounted behind the coil at the front of the right cylinder head.

Heater core will go early

opti spark will go

stock injectors will go - as they are not made to handle ethanol in gas.

Bose radio will go.

will need to upgrade a/c as r12 is no longer used.
