I've heard the 2.2L is a shitty motor that you cant build on it too much. id like to put a 350 in a cobalt that would be the shit

sorry, but that is a pretty dumb ass thing to say. you do realize what the 350 means in 350 right? even if you could install an engine that big into a little tin can like that, it would rip it to pieces. but about the turbos and sc's. there was a site but it was said that the place went out of business, and depending on the stage for sc's you can find some entry levels on andysautosport.com

Actually a 350 in a Cobalt isn't such a dumb ass idea, We had a 1997 Geo Metro...YES GEO METRO with a 600 HP GM Small block that was completely streetable!!!! I have a friend who puts 350's in little BMW's ALL THE TIME!!! So dont rule that idea out!!! I think I'd be AWESOME, In Fact I think I'll try it out just to show you what a DumbAss will look like with a Cobalt 350 ripping down the street!!!

Careful who ya pick you race with...My GM boys are running over 1300 HP out of that Ecotec motor!!! YES 1300 DYNO'd HP...so much for displacement... You can BOLT ON HP to that cobalt fairly easily..I was in one that had 285 HP with the basic kit...and weighs a bit less that the Cobras...AND I know there is a package that will run over 400HP..All under warranty!!!

hey the one that said you have 285hp from your cobalt. is that the ls or ss model. i have the ls ive got low budget bolt ons.(cold air intake, headers, cat back exhaust) how did you get yours to push that many hp. Turbo kit? and if so where can i get one around 2 grand that has a decent size turbo. the garret turbo kit is like 3200 for the tuner package and i want a bigger turbo than what they offer. im sure its not too big. any suggestions please email me theoneandonlybs@yahoo.com

Well some might say that the 2.2l ecotech motor is weak, but I have news for you!
If you talk or search for the GM performance build book for the ecotec, it wil answer all of your questions! It has a detailed parts list to get your 2.2l up to 1400 HP!!!!!!!!!!
The drag cobalt just beat the record with a 7.92 1/4 mile time, pushig a 1250 HP motor with around 800 ftlbs of torque!

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aquarius

The more you want to control someone, or someone wants to control you, the more difficult life will be today. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so the last thing you should do now is to act as though you own this person, or tell them what to do, because it will be an instant recipe for rebellion and trouble. Mars is retro in your house of significant others and open enemies after all. If you don't want to spoil the evening's celebrations you'll have to make compromises, and hope that this other person will do the same. Don't let the fuss stop you having a very happy New Year's Eve.
