I'll just keep you guessing.(Not)

PSST--I really don't care about Joint Venture stats, especially since your supporting link was a production schedule, not sales results. Not relevant, nor realistic.
The point is moot, regardless.
The year ends Dec. 31/09.
Until then, we won't know where performance to plan ends up.
We do agree, however, that in 2008 Toyota was No.1.
If VW turns out on top this year, more power to them.

No, the link provided a completed schedule with variances. This has everything to do with the article. Evidently the firm failed to include this information, hence the inaccuracy.

At any rate I will agree with you the point is moot. Size by production really is irrelevant. It’s about how many cars you sold and how much money you made.

Basically then, your original claim as to which automaker was No.1 was just what I said---BS.
I will give you credit for a gracious acknowledgement of this reality, however, it does underscore your propensity to distort and misrepresent things.
Can you ever be trusted to post with integrity?

No he can't. His stats only tell half the story and most the time they don't even tell that much.

What you're saying about JJFADS' posts is essentially true.
I believe his motives aren't necessarily ill intentioned though.
IMO, he sees his role here as a sort of "provocateur", aka to keep the pot stirred and the forum lively.
Lake most folks,I disagree with tactics like that---IMO,it's simply unethical and manipulative to artificially stoke the fires of controversy in such a manner.
There's too much of that happening in society today, and things aren't going to improve by just adding more of the same.
I'll take some satisfaction in the knowledge that JJFADS' posts are far more artificial than real, and he's just acting like a shill trying to hang on to a meaningless job.

I agree with you. He's like the Jerry Springer of the internet. He's unable or unwilling to lay down the facts for all to see and come to their OWN conclusions. He takes only what he wants to see and then twists them even more to provoke others into an argument. This is what drives him. Luckily for us we see through his little charade. When we call him out on it he becomes defensive and claims that he's only here to report the "facts". Too bad his "facts" are so contorted and twisted that it would make one of those underage Chinese olympists from the 2008 Olympics jealous. lol!

That's about right.

No, you see this is where your intellect fails you. GM remains # one although really moot, the facts remain the same. Unfortunately you fail to understand that.

I must take this time to thank both of you for your kind words. My achievements are beneath me and I now concede the fact that I am in the spotlight.

Watching Toyota sputter – understandable
Overtaking the topic and becoming the center - priceless

Keep believing in your stupidity. Too bad outside this forum you're the center of nothing, so enjoy the limelight in here.

One fact which clearly remains the same---your propensity to distort and misrepresent things.
Others are beginning to recognize that fact as well, and are making their sentiments known.
It's very clear to a growing number of participants in these discussions that you cannot be trusted to post with integrity.

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Aquarius

Keep smiling, or you'll soon be down in the dumps. Oh dear. It's time to harness your energy, Aquarius. Don't squander what little you have on activities that aren't worth it. Keep away from people whose idea of fun is to poke holes in what you're doing, because that's the last thing you need. Now that Venus is cruising through your house of friends, hopes and wishes, you can begin to make some progress!
