I have the same problem in Va. Please Lord let them do a recall I can't afford to have it fixed I have tried several outlets all give me no hope. I did call safecar.gov but they said it could take months up to a year to get results, what are we to do til then.

I filed a complaint with the NHTSA, was told that the number of complaints being filed has sparked an investigation. I trust they will see the issues we are facing. A recall is in order, but now that the government runs GM I wonder if they would force a recall on their own country?

well good what is the website for NHTSA so I and others can also file a complaint. Good job I already did a complaint with www.safecar.gov and they acted like it could take up a year so maybe this other will move it quicker.

Look for a class action lawsuit soon. I drove off the Blue Ridge Parkaway because of the steering going out. Luckily there was a grove of fruit trees stop me.

My goodness, I had electric steering in my Saturn VUE Redline back in 2004 and the system worked well.

I own a 2009 Colbalt SS with about 10,000 miles on it. No problems yet and I do live in SW Florida and the weather is plenty warm here also. What has been changed or updated with the electric steering in my 2009 Colbalt?
