i agree that this was caused by an unsupervised and anti cop hate. if his parents had done their job,he might not have ended up like this.and had said that,what the ..ll do his parents think their doing trying to sue the police ? i would not give them a dime. learn how to raise your kids and stop crying racism!

i also live in a poor neighborhood,but i did my job raising all three of my kids. kids learn by example so whats really going on?

When self-stated gang members come forward to protest the killing of one of their own (Sanders), and when Sanders so obviously had the criminal record he had, how can those of you who defend him be so blind to the conclusion that this was a bad kid? He was caught in the act of committing another crime, and you still defend him? Austin is a safer place because this kid is dead. Thank you Officer Quintana, for doing your job. I'm sorry you have to put your life on the line every time you go to work, but I'm grateful for your bravery. I wish you well, sir.

If he had been white and not black no one would have said anything except he was stupid but deserved what he got. That's the difference between whites and blacks. Whites don't take up for trash being killed and they don't try to make him look like a saint when he's a convicted felon. This is one less "thug" I have to worry about coming into contact with. I'm white and I live on the East Side, and I have a concealed Handgun License and will not hesitate. Where were his family and friends when he was out robbing and pulling crimes before this? Did they tell those vicitms how sorry they were? Did they attempt to apologize for their innocent angels actions? Hells no they didnt.

First off, thats very disrespectful to his parents and family, and it's obvious that maybe your parents didn't do so well on raising you either if you wish death upon ANYONE, let alone, an 18 year old black male. Whatever he was stereotyped as...he didnt deserve death. You didn't have to know him to know he had some good in his heart. Did his victims deserved to be robbed? How disrespectful was it to rob people of what they earned? Why didnt he try to become an contributing member of society and get a job vs robbing people of what they worked so hard to get? Since youre posting as if you knew him, did you try to step in and intervene when he was so obviously headed down the wrong path?
