Give me a break Shane. Cordele Hopes is a wife beater, drug dealer and he shot a brother (black man) in the head while his young son was sitting in the back seat of Hopes' SUV. He wasn't exactly a family man. I don't see how you, Trish and others can defend this killer. He was lucky that he only got a quarter in prison. I think you all need to read the trial transcript and learn the truth about Mr. No Hopes.

First off, its "Tish" not Trish. Secondly, I met Cordele when I was 14 in the 8th grade I'm now 38. He was my BEST friend. So much so he ended up marrying my little sister and then became my brother in law. "Wife Beater" as you stated, he's never beat on my sister and up till he got locked up, she was his ONLY wife! "Family Man", he's ALWAYS been one! He didn't just have kids abandon them all, not claim, or take care of them! He loved ALL of his kids and was ACTIVE in their lives! "YES" he was a drug dealer as with a WHOOOOLE Lott of people! NOBODY lives a perfect life! I DON'T NEED A TRANSCRIPT to learn ANY truth about him! I've known him for 24 years! A transcript doesnt tell a persons life story or who a person is! To "Defend" him would be saying he DIDNT do it! So dont say Im defending him. My first comment said "I couldnt believe he would do such a crime" that was when I recieved the first phone call and learned what happened! Later on I learned the details about the incident through his own family members. Was what he did wrong? ABSOLUTELY! Without a doubt! It's WRONG to take ANYONE'S life for whatever reason! He's still my friend and although I don't agree with what he did, I'm not God so I can't place judgement on him or just cast him out of my life! Again, HIS kids have lost a father as well as Shepherds kids in which they will never see again! I feel bad for BOTHE families....?
