I agree with Mr. Ochoa, if PD would interrogate without violating your right to due process and your civil rights it would go a long way. I am for video taping the interrogation as well, and this garbage about early resolution court is total bull! Alot of things need to be changed in the justice system throughout the whole US.

You know at 15 years old I knew not to say nothing to the police except to ask for a lawyer. Maybe there should be a life sentence for stupidity.

Bobby: sure, everyone "thinks" they will be smart enough to say nothing and ask for a lawyer. But it usually doesn't work that way. Many people, once locked up in a small jail cell, with no food or water in some cases, and no sleep, often for hours on end, will say ANYTHING to end that hell.

Now we need to put the police officers the coerced the confession in jail. In general population. Doing the life sentence that was given because of that coerced confession.

Sadly, there are probably thousands more innocent people in prison because of lazy detectives and overzealous district attorneys trying to get high prosecution rates to further their political aspirations.

Thank you Chris for showing all the pigs in law enforcement what a true man you are. To bad a lot of this pigs are still tolerated in police departments and US courts.

David Leonard Wood was cleared by DNA evidence not to be linked to any of the bodies, yet he sits on death row. No DNA, fingerprints, blood, hair, tissue linked him to the crime scene.

Here we go agaian. The police are corrupt blah blah blah. If any of you clowns knew what it was like trying to combat the criminal element, you would think twice before you second guess the cops. Criminals prey on the weak and they dont have any rules. They make them up as they vicitimize the public. On the other hand, our law enforcement officers are bound by law, regulations and guidlines which makes it harder to catch the bad guys. Meanwhile these maggots are getting smarter and coming up with new ways to vicimize us.
The Police officers in this fine city do what they need to do to take care of business. while all you grass eaters are snuggled up in your beds, some cop is out there on the beat taking out the trash. People want to hear fairy tales about rainbows and puppy dogs. The truth is fighting crime gets ugly sometimes and the weak are sqeamish and like to complain. Get a clue...The only mistake this bozo made was not getting that koolaid drinking T. Caballero to defend him. He would have been out by now!

Many times the cops are the criminals. They have laws, polictics, lies, their badge and each other to hide behind

MANY times????? There are thousands upon thousands of law enforcement officers in this country. A very small percentage of them could be classified as criminals. Even fewer than that in this city. There are crooked politicians, schoolteachers, lawyers and ditchdiggers too. But the difference is those jobs dont involve taking some ones freedom or in some unfortunate cases their life. We have excellent police officers and a great police department here. That is undisputable...

My understanding is that Chris Ochoa won a million-plus dollar lawsuit against the City of Austin, Texas, so yes, I'd say he's got a good future... finally.

I personally knew danny growing up. He was a very nice guy. It really saddens me that the law enforcement we r suposed to trust is also the ones we have to worry about. Danny deserves justice and I hope and pray him and his family get it. I also hope the state of texas reimburses him and his family for all their pain and suffering.

This is just further proof that we need to ban the police and any authority figures, because it leads to people getting addicted to power and abusing it. We need to demand the creation of the AAEA (anti-authority enforcement agency). WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN.

The detectives are not lazy, their goal is to clear the case, pressure the defendant and fill him or her with false promises. They do not care if the guilt is proven, they just need to establish reasonable doubt. This clears the books and then the judicial system takes over, offer a deal or threaten the individual with jail time. There is not one ounce of fariness the way the justice system works. Take to heart a lawyer now just wants your money and will settle to whatever the other side wants.
