Hmmm not good and perhaps he really does not know what is happening there where ever he may live. After all I dont think I would like to be quetioned on that subject either.
It isn't part of Islam although Mohammed seems to have accepted it as an already existing custom of the Arabian tribes.

On one occasion he passed by as a child was being circumcised and advised the butchers to be careful so she would feel minimum discomfort.

I don't think he approved but he probably felt powerless to stop such an entrenched custom at that time.

To: Madam Dee

It is your folly that OT books were written by eye witnesses or contemporaries of the events. None of the writer of OT books was eye witness of any event he wrote about.

Moses was neither a contemporary nor eyewitness of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Lot, Isaac, Ishmael, Jacob, Joseph etc. How could he write accurately about them? What was his source of Info?

In the same way writer of Samuel-1 was no contemporary of David. No body even knows his name. People just assign a name based on their whims and fancies. How can you base your proof of Guilt on such flimsy evidence?

You have to believe that either these writers wrote from hearsay, or were given information thru revelation or inspiration. The charge you put against our prophet is equally applicable to your own books also.

Now coming to the guilt of prophets, A man is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. In case the evidence is not strong, the man is set free, because of insufficient evidence.

From that angle also, the stand of Quran is more pragmatic than yours. It assumes all prophets sinless, because of their stature and because God chose them as a conveyer of His message. The evidence of crimes against them is insufficient and based on mostly hearsay, so it cannot be accepted even in any human courts and God is above human courts to accept these evidences.

The way you write it seems that your faith has some thing to do with belief in the guilt and crimes committed by past prophets.

Why fear from muslims ,How about corrupted churches and church leaders covering up perverts. people should fight against priests who terrorize children in Catholic Church and institutes yes it is terrorism against kids.

For nearly half a century, religious orders have been secretly working with Catholic clergy on personal difficulties ranging from alcoholism to serious sexual misconduct.

Hundreds of priests and brothers convicted or suspected of sexually abusing children have been through world.

This thread is so full of peoples fear and ignorance.

I have just posted this on a similar thread so for what it's worth, here it is again.

It's so sad to read the hatred, when we've proven the Australian way of life has been happily accepted by every culture, who once saw it the same way as you seem to feel Muslims do.

After all, all Australians, Aboriginals included, are either immigrants or descendants of, so it's a bit hypocritical to pretend our latest wave of immigrants are any different to any of us.

Race after race came here in an effort for the original arrogant Poms to get cheap, easily exploitable labour, after they lost the use of slaves and convicts to make them rich without actually doing anything themselves.

Every race has eventually assimilated, but when you have leaders dividing the nation by making irresponsible statements, and I include Muslim leaders in that statement, all that does is fuel the fear and hatred on both sides.

I find it offensive when immigrants can't send their children to our schools, but then, what's the difference between the rich and poor of this nation, sending their children to different schools.

I mean, why can't the children of the rich attend the local state school like every other Australian child?

Instead of encouraging them, people vented in ignorance, and we now have a huge wedge between us and the latest group this nation has invited in, to do no more, than once again, exploit them in the lowest of jobs.

That's because the last wave of immigrants brought here to be exploited, the Asians, have like every other group, now become the same as all of us, and won't do those low level, physically hard jobs anymore.

We've all had our turn, and whether you like it or not, that's the truth of it.

It wasn't all that long ago I heard similar racist statements about, Chinese, Japanese, Germans, Vietnamese, all Europeans, and now, as with each new wave of immigrants, it's the Muslim's turn.

I won't accept all of any race are bad people.

In every race we have our extremists, and our fair share of crazies, it's just that at the moment, the Muslim isn't understood, with some of their practices (their own schools)easily being viewed as insulting to us, considering they're guests in our country, but as I said above, all races have come here, and all races have had their moments, due to our ignorance of their cultures and vice verse.

Some of their leaders, and a lot of their excited youth, haven't helped that situation, just as John Howard didn't, by his subtle grandstanding as he grabbed onto whatever he could, to hold onto power.

Racism is about fear, homelessness is a result of mental illness caused by a plethora of events, and anyone who is legally living in this country as a naturalised Australian, is an Australian, regardless of the colour of their skin, their religious beliefs or country of origin.

By treating them with contempt, and vice verse, all that's happening are wall's of resistance.

If we all stopped this divisive behaviour, and embraced all new Australians, none of these nasty episodes would occur, and like all races and religions beforehand, assimilation would easily occur.

I mean be honest, who on this earth wouldn't want to embrace our easy going, accepting and inclusive way of life?????????

Think about it, every European Culture has, along with all Asian cultures, you name it, we've won them over.

There isn't anyone who isn't a pushover to a kind smile, no matter where they're from, or what they believe.

I think we have made it clear that we don't 'fear' Muslims - we are simply sick to death of them.

* The Aussie way of life has been accepted by SOME other races who don't try to tell us how to live in our own country, and SOME just accept [take!] what Australia has to offer and then do their best to deny US our way of life. They are the ones I object to.

And seeing as you thought what you had to say in another thread should be read in this thread too, I'll take the same liberty and repost my answer there to you here.

* So - it's the Poms THIS week...

Australian Town Rejects building of Islamic School:

Paraniod???? I'm talking about existing eyesores.
Here in Melbourne we have an assortment of gigantic buildings representing the Muslim and Buddhist religions which stand so tall, cover such huge areas, amongst architecture which has absolutely nothing in common with their appearance, so as to be nothing more than an eyesore.
What's paranoid about that?
Let me put it this way, are you volunteering to allow one of these monstrosities to be built in sight of your home?
Would you welcome the clogging of your streets the dangers to your children's safety the inability to be able to park in front of your own home, not to mention the air and noise pollution from vehicles and their exhausts?
It would be no different if someone purchased a home and someone came along AFTERWARDS to install an airport.
I've noticed some of these buildings, the newer ones, seem to be getting constructed on Industrial estates, which at least hides them from view, and puts them in areas designed to carry the extra traffic and parking.
I agree totally about the apathy of Australians.
You are completely correct. It will be too late before those who should get off their butts to do something about the way our identity is slowly disappearing.
* Who's it going to be NEXT week hypocrite???

Just pointing out that you 'attack' who you want, Dee can 'attack' who she wants. Is that what you mean by reality?

It can be painful but if you stay in the real world long enough, it stops hurting and you begin to appreciate it.

It hurts when your heart is wide open and others just can't match the intensity of your love. For this reason, you may feel that it's safer today to demonstrate your ability to be emotionally detached than it is to show how much you truly care. Unfortunately, this will only allow those in your life to shut down even more. When you recognize that each person expresses love in a unique manner, you'll be able to graciously accept what is currently being offered without further judgment
