Premier Campbell Newman, in Canberra for the Council of Australian Governments meeting, told reporters Queensland was at risk of becoming the "Spain of Australian states", while his treasurer and tourism minister were courting business overseas.

Isn't it just great to have a Premier intent on talking-down our State? Does he not realise you can talk yourself into recession by simply fear-mongering? I cannot believe the rubbish he's coming out with. Eurpoe is in genuine strife..Queensland is not. Premier Newman seems intent on filling the population with fear and making everyone's lives a misery. It will come back to bite him.

Why are they only picking on Newman when Abbott has been doing the exact same thing for 2 years now.
