This is a crock - having the Internal Affairs anwsering to the Chief of Police directly? I smell some nasty-nasty going on here. This is the same "Chief" Bush that was hired from Atlanta PD to come into DeKalb Police as a Major to run a precinct. He was recently promoted to Deputy Chief afer an outstanding 6 months of service to Dekalb Citizens. "Chief" Bush isn't even off NEW EMPLOYEE probation! Yes, this is the same Chief Bush that anwsers to Chief Bolton. The same Chief Bolton that ruined Dallas PD with a fake drung scandal, stupid appointments and lake-luster control. I guess Bolton can control what and who the IA Team will investigate properly. Sad Sad Sad..

It is interesting that Chief Bolton, a man with a questionable moral code, would be let near what happens in IA. Has no one checked his past with Dallas PD? All anyone needs to do is a quick search of the Dallas Observer Newspaper to know this is not a man who runs a honest department.

Well could it be worse than it was in the late 80's and 90's. I had a credit card taken and used by an officer who made me clean up a parking lot of cigarette butts when i've never smoked a cigarette in my life. Then you know sheriff jarvis went to prison for taking and selling defendants cars at brown and brown and splitting the profits. They trump up a charge on a fella and those who couldn't make bond they'd sell their car in 30 days. Raked in millions til they got caught. Dekalb is always known for something crooked. And everyone remembers dorsey and his henchmen.

well I guess we are going back to the days of old where only the good cops got punished and Internal Affairs where the most corrupt officers in dekalb it about to get even worst. Looks like Thomas Brown will be the only Law enforcment head in Dekalb shortly

I have to wonder what y'all were thinking when you hired this shameful reject from Dallas's past.
Pickings must have been pretty slim for you to make him your Police Chief. He was incompetent, empty headed, and vengeful against anyone who was smarter, or more politically advanced than he was. He also had a bad problem with unfairly demoting Anglos, and Hispanics, which cost the City of Dallas millions of dollars.
In another year, when your community has tired of his antics, errors, and his constant "what you talking about, Willis" camera takes... the Citizens will shake their heads...and wonder how they could have been so duped.

Like others have mentioned, Bolton was an absolute, unmitigated DISASTER here in Dallas.... terrible, terrible, terrible. When he got ousted, he cried on TV and said that he wouldn't even be able to get a job as "dog catcher."
Folks out here let out a collective gasp when his appointment as police chief in DeKalb County was announced.
