I know this family through other family members! My heart hurts so deeply for their lose! My family prayed so soon so we heard that she was ill! I encourage the family to look to the Lord, He works in mysterious ways! I will continue to pray for the family! May God be with you in your time of need and sorrow!

You can't leave a child in a VAN..It was over a 150 degrees in this vehicle she was left for over 2 hours..

Same thing has been happening for years.Let me guess they forgot this child was in the car..The person who left this child to die in this vehicle deserves to die the same way..

Their is no excuse anyone can come up with that makes this okay or they forgot or some other lame excuse..Whoever left this child too die is a murderer and should be convicted.

According to church members who were interviewed on the television news, the girl wasn't left in the van. She had been inside the church playing with other kids and later taking a nap. It is believed that she went to the van to sleep because it was too cold inside the church.
Whether or not that is what actually happened, who really knows. However, eye witnesses at the church did see her inside the church, so she apparently was not left in the van. The van doors were all unlocked.

Authorities found 3 year old dead in Van.

How can you not know your 3 year old is missing for 2 hours...Read the story above..Maybe the father had to many kids to watch,or he wasn't keeping track. No excuse to not know where your 3 year old child is..read the story...If the child went out to the van and crawled in the hot van for 2 hours and baked why didn't her father look for her if she had been in this van for 2 hours...If it was my 3 year old child and I hadn't seen her in 2 hours call me crazy but I would of been wondering where she was...

You people should be ashamed of yourselves! This was a mistake! Yes the father should have been keeping a better eye on his child but there is no reason why you all should be blaming him... he DID NOT do it intentionally (unlike the woman in South Carlina, who killed her children then tried to make it look like they died in a car wreak)! The best thing for all of us to do it pray for this family, not condemn them! I am just saying have a little compassion!

Thank you for posting this. Sometimes people are so horrified to hear this type of thing that they lash out in anger or readily place blame. Sometimes people just want to scream at something or someone because closing one's eyes to these horrors won't make them go away. They want to fix it and can't. Sometimes, people just want to assure themselves that it could never happen to them. It can. No one is above making mistakes -- even one of this magnitude. This was a horrible, horrible tragedy. We, all of us, need to show compassion and pray for this family's sanity, heartache, and (hopefully) eventual healing.

The father has YOU fooled, although that obviously is not saying much.
You say "have a little compassion"? A THREE YEAR OLD CHILD WAS KILLED BY HER PARENTS! SHE HAD 70+ YEARS TO LIVE AND HER PARENTS CUT HER LIFE SHORT! Why do you not suggest the words "have compassion" to these parents???
Do they still have the rights to the other three children?

This kind of accident seems to be the crime of the decade..How many kids have been left in cars accidentally.Nothing more than a copy-cat crime..Sure is strange these accidents with the kids baking in vehicles only happens in the summer months..Too many people having the same accidents, with innocent children who become their accidents!

This is just a classic case of people getting into a routine and not paying attention as well as they should. From my understanding, the kids of the band members always hang out, play, sleep, or whatever while the practice is on. Being they are in a small church, I guess people just assume they're fine. The little girl got cold in the church and wandered out to the van. The side doors on a Dodge van are very easy to open and not very heavy. She continued her nap in the warmth; and while the other kids were napping inside, no one noticed. It's a tragic mistake that no one intended to happen; and this family shouldn't be condemned for any kind of neglect. How many of you have been watched or had your older kids watch a young one? Don't be so judgemental. It's terrible and unintentional because this little girl was such a beautiful child!

You obviously don't have kids OR a mini van. A three year old can do a lot of things and all mini vans are 'kid friendly' these days because they are made for families. Some of them even have automatic doors and all of them are lightweight and easy to open and shut. Maybe they should have watched the girl better but maybe they did this every Sunday and never even thought of something like this happening. Unless you are an expert of every scenario that can happen with human beings then you need to shut up and stop calling people stupid.

Common sense is the only thing needed to figure this out. Go ahead and use experience/lack of as an excuse. The parents NEED any excuse possible So keep throwing them out there.

It also takes common sense, not experience to keep your eyes on your children, especially in the city.

It also takes common sense, not experience to lock your doors, especially in the city.

It happened at a small church between Canton and Ball Ground, dipshit. This is hardly the city. Keep talking out of the side of your neck, Einstein.

Wow how heartless some of you are! What if this was your child? It could have been! How bad would you feel knowing that you love your child so much and you never wanted anything bad to about to them and now everyone is saying that you murder your child? I mean come on people stop blaming, it happened there is nothing any of you can do by blaming the father/parents! If that would bring the little girl back I would be blaming him to but it WILL NOT bring her back! They lost the baby and it was NOT intentionally! Like I said before yes the father should have been watching the children better and yes this was a horrible accident but there is no need for all of this name calling and blaming. I swear some of you people are completely clueless! Why can't we as a people stop hating one another and start being caring and loving to one another! All hate does is tare down but love builds up... just keep that in mind!

Though I certainly don't condone what happened to this little girl, I can see where a mistake was made. And all you Monday morning Quarterbacks that think you live a perfect life want to condemn this family for what you shallowly want to perceive as neglect don't amount to jack. Half of you idiots didn't even read the story or know anything about what even happened. Yet you pass judgement as if you've never made a mistake. This child wasn't neglected- heck she was at church all day Sunday. Go put your focus on the idiots in Marietta with the bug infested house if you want to play child advocate. This family, I'm sure, is beating themselves up enough over what happened and don't need you bozos sitting at your computers with nothing to do but put your little two cents worth in about something you don't even know about.

Try doing something positive for a change.

Here is something positive for you assclown..It makes no difference if one goes to Church 7 days a week, where I come from you don't have 5 or so kids and expect your older kids to be a babysitter for you..These folks screwed up..most likely this behavior has been going on being neglectful of their responsibility..Singing in the choir gives you a free pass or a ticket to "HEAVEN".

You need a reality check..
