My fiance is on that list of people who got indicted. He is not charged with murder however he is thrown into the fire with those who are. His worst crime was being a drug addict in a small rural town where everyone knows everyone. We moved two years ago to get away from the drugs and the crime. Then two years later find out he was indicted anyways. I feel bad for all the families of alot of these people. Our loved ones need help to get off this drug. Don't get me wrong the people on the indictment for violent crimes and those who brought this awful drug into our community ought to be punnished but don't punnish those who have been punnished enough by addiction to meth. Especially those who made their own concious decision to turn their lives around and get clean like my fiance and I.

I can tell by your response your ignorant. That's what that want you to do.Turn against your own kind. Can't you open your stupid little brain and see the big picture. They put the drugs here to separtate and divide. And your falling right into the trap. Help the brother get off the drugs. Show him the way. Open your mind, and look what's really going on. Can you see it now? This is not to belittle you, but to educate you. Take a suggestion. Or do you just want to lock us all up? Then they'll come for you!

My concern is that criminals are caught and charged with thier crimes. Not..Oh poor thing on drugs. Give me a break. The next time I see a convience store hold up in the news. Should we think oh the poor guy must be on drugs and needs the cash. I think now. The jerk should be slapped in jail.

Please all of you do yourself a favor. Either learn how to spell or at least use spellcheck.
Additionally murderers & people who sell drugs should be put in prison...not jail. Those who are unfortunately on drugs should be given a chance to go to a rehab center...after them in prison.

It's embarassing that so many people of color cannot spell, cannot write, cannot communicate in their native language. We will forever be second class citizens in this country as long as we choose Ebonics over English. "If you was involved..." is just one example of at least 20 malaprops on this page.

Minor drug offenders fill your prisons. That's not smart.
All research on successful drug policy shows
that treatment should be increased,
And law enforcement decreased,
While abolishing mandatory minimum sentences.

I would like to say I feel bad for what happen to your husband,You must understand that this is not a fight that you have to deal with alone,We all have been victims to some kind of drug or something.I think that everyone should hear your cry and feel your pain because until it happen to them no one will. It's like this if you are rich they have perventions, if you are poor they have Prisons, both is bad but one is worsre then the other. It don't matter what poison a person take in his or her body, they should weight all options. And if caught let the punishment fit the crime.

LOL, "they put the drugs here to separate and divide"? Come on buddy, get over your conspiracy theories. Why can't we all just be Americans, instead of self-segragating our communities and talking about the "Man" trying to "turn us against our own kind".

I'd like to see drugs legalized in this country - or at least decriminalized.

You can arrest a criminal for breaking and entering or whatever - separate the health issues from the criminal ones - PLEASE.

I lived in Europe where a lot of drugs were decriminalized and it was less of a problem that it seems to be HERE.

Those of you attempting to rectify the atrocities against the English language on this thread are up against a pitiful wall. Arguing with the illiterate is an exercise in futility because the ignorant do not have enough common sense to know when they are wrong.

As for drug users being thrown in prison, it is simply a matter of economics. Your tax money is being used to house nonviolent criminals. So if you people who enjoy saying we should punish drug users don't mind your hard earned dollars going to support letting a drug addict sit in prison with little or no rehabilitation programs only to release them unprepared to deal with the "real world" and therefore most likely returning to their former life of drug abuse, then be my guest. I bet you all voted for Bush didn't you?

Could everybody understand that? Should I type slower or rewrite in idiot speak?

Thank you. As I was reading this page, I thought the same. We are a rich country but we are poor, poor by our own choosing. Until we strive to improve ourselves we will remain poor.
