I just received 2 boxes of Frontline Plus that I ordered online from a company called Total Pet Supply. According to the EPA guidance, the boxes have several indications that they are fake. I have purchased Frontline for years, and am very familiar with the packaging. I could tell this was not authentic from the second I looked at it. I have contacted their Customer Service who claims the box "looks different because it's front New Zeland." They claims someone will contact me in 48 hours to provide instructions for the return. We'll see if that really happens. BUYERS BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM TOTAL PET SUPPLY dot COM out of Canada.

catsmatplus_jbuerman sells fake frontline on Ebay. He purchases his frontline from Australia and leads buyers to believe that it is cat USA frontline. He is such a con-artist and Ebay does nothing! This seller is fooling all of his buyers!! |

Just purchased frontline from Total Pet Supply.
This is product is not authentic. Don't buy from them. I canceled my order right away after I did some research online. |

I cant believe what I am reading. I decided to do some research because I wondered why my dogs are covered in fleas even after applying Frontline Plus. It seems to be doing nothing. I purchased it from Total Pet Supply. It does say it is from Australia where as my friend purchased her's from her vet and it is made in France. So I guess it is counterfeit?!

Judged: 1 * The lot number on the retail carton matches the lot number on the applicator package and/or the individual applicators. * The instruction leaflet is included. It provides the following information: first-aid statements, including emergency U.S. telephone numbers; precautionary statements for humans and pets; directions for use; and storage and disposal statements. * The pesticide is contained in an applicator package, which is child-resistant. The directions for opening the child- resistant applicator package include an illustration that actually looks like the applicator package. The directions include "To remove applicator, use scissors or lift and remove plastic tab to expose foil, then pull down." * The legitimate applicator package has a notch between the individual applicator packages, which generally are absent on counterfeit products. Text on the package is in English only. * Once you open the applicator package, each individual applicator has a label that includes the registrant's name "Merial;" the product name; the EPA registration number; the net contents in fluid ounces (fl. oz.)(not in metric measure, i.e., ml); percentage (%) of active ingredient(s)(fipronil for Frontline Top Spot products; and fipronil and (S)-methoprene for Frontline Plus products); and the statements "CAUTION," "Keep out of reach of children," and "See full label for additional directions." Text is in English only. * The applicator label for the dog products includes the size of the dog in pounds on which the product is to be used. |

Judged: 1 I don't know why just because something is not made in the US, there is paranoia about it's "quality". The australian online retailers sell the same products as the australian vets, which is the same product as the US vets only different packaging regulations. I have done alot research on this and I do not believe everything you have said is correct...The "counterfeit"is 100% real it is just packaged to be sold in the AU...it is EXACTLY the same product but it is in the european measurements (they use the metric system there is no reason for them to use pounds or oz!) The prices are cheaper there bc they require no prescription unlike the US vets, if it says MERIAL on it then it IS viable. The EPA and the US Merial branch do not want you to buy these products at discount prices(bigger profits for themselves, Merial is a huge corporation think about it). The REAL Frontline Plus from AU DOES in fact have orange stripes on it. I get mine from across seas and have never had a tick or flea (and if you have an honest vet like mine they will tell you the exact same thing). Yes some sites such as Ebay and Amazon do sell counterfeits but not all of these european sites are bad. Bottom line if it says Merial then its the correct product, AU and other countries are not governed by the same guidelines as the US and therefore do not package their products the same way (i.e. warning inserts, weight measurements, ect.) even though they are EXACTLY the same. Dont believe all the hype the US Gov and EPA are pushing in your face, save some money and quit paying bloated vet fees. http://forums.dealofday.com/internet-retail-d... http://au.merial.com/ WAKE UP PEOPLE QUIT BELIEVING THE SCARE TACTICS!!!! |

I would agree with Aricka that although the product may not be made or sold through the United States ... there are hundreds of other countries that sell the same medications at reduced prices. Canada / Australia / New Zealand are all first world countries and have the same or better medications at fractions of the prices.
Why do you think that the US health care system is completely in the toilet .. the big drug manufactures are sucking all of YOUR hard earned dollars into their FATASS POCKETS !!!!!!!!!! Be cautious about the online vendor you do business with .. clearly EBAY would be the most difficult to onfirm .. but there seems to be many others who will ship you boxed MERIAL product that these other countries use the same we do - for less price.. My dogs are fine on a Frontline Plus product bought online - paid through Canada and shipped through New Zealand - looks weird .. but the product works. |

Just because it's not made in the US does not mean it's fake.People are paranoid and believe waaay to much.If i told you how much a used car goes for at a wholesale auction you would have a heart attack. But wait if it's that cheap then somethings wrong with it? Does that mean $1 cheeseburgers from the golden arches are fake??? WAKE UP AMERICA we are watching you!!!!LOLOL!!!!!!!!!

I don't pay vet fee's, I order online but at reliable stores- If there is nothing wrong with it then why when I put it on my cat he remained infested with fleas and it actually got worse. I didn't know what was going on so I ordered some more at a reliable website and placed it on him the next month and they were gone. The one I had ordered from Canada didn't work and my cat had to suffer for a month for it. I didn't know counterfeit existed before I bought it, I just know it didn't work. |

Actually,$1 cheeseburges from the golden arches ARE fake! LOL!:) |

My dog was due for his dose of Frontline Plus so I opened the package I had ordered from petcarechoice.com . I was first suspicious because it had come by Royal Mail from South Africa. Some of the instructions are in Arabic, German and English. No disposal instructions, no warranty and no child safety instructions. I am not going to use this and have called petcarechoice for a refund. I am headed to my vet today to purchase.(I found a coupon for a free dose from your vet online.) Lesson learned--if it seems too good to be true, it is.

Judged: 1 1 These meds come with Australian packaging, but they still kill fleas here in the U.S., just like the flea protection I used to get from my vet, but at half the price... If your owners want to pay inflated US prices for flea meds, be that's fine with me. But you should know that your owners don't have to pay perhaps double for the same meds unless they want to throw their money away. The rest of the world pays a lot less for meds than we do in the U.S. If the US government didn't sleep with American drug manufacturers, our prices would be much lower. Lower prices for foreign meds are NOT too good to be true - they are simply what others pay elsewhere. Believe the hype if you like, but my American fleas will continue to die from Australian flea meds.'Nuf said. |

Judged: 1 Yesterday, I went to the vet, paid the "price"-and today there are dead fleas where both my cats slept, AND they are not scratching-I feel terrible that I put them through this. So, believe what you want-but the BIGGEST giveaway is that the counterfeit DOES NOT WORK! |
