Israelis Brace Themselves For War With Iran

Arianna Hoffington of the Hoffington post, is speding too much time listening to L.A. garden party gossip. For knowledgeable sources would say Israelis are always braced for war. And futhermore, history tells us Israel doesn't start wars, but instead is successful at finishing them. Just ask any of the Arab countries who've attempted to attack Israel.

Israel doesn't start wars right,
1967 war, 1982 war, 2006 war and last years war were not started by Israel, such a peace full and peace loving people they are the Israelis!

And Dan is right...Israel always finishes what the Arabs start, quite successfully too, if there is such a thing as success in war. It's actually the exact opposite...Israel's nukes are one of the greatest stabilizing influences in the Middle East. Everyone is crying about it now, but the fact is, Israel has held this nuclear deterrent for over 50 years now. Why is that a good thing? Because it proves the stability of the country that holds them as a potential deterrent to further aggression and power mongering from less stable nations...specifically Iran in this most recent scenario, previously Syria in the early 80's.

No sane individual likes nukes, however, the alternative is that renegade countries like Iran who do not exhibit the will to withold using them would endanger the entire Middle East using Israel as it's central starting point. Whether or not Israel possesses nukes, if Iran were to possess even one nuke, it would use it...specifically on Israel, but use it never-the-less. The results would be horrific for the entire Middle East, and the larger world dynamic would be impacted negatively in a profound way.

Your premise is off base therefore. While I do not agree with your anti-Semitic sentiment, I do fathom your intent for equal/fair distribution of power/land/economic/political stability and independance. But making such a sweeping statement and giving credit to Irans' ability or even their willingness to control such a dangerous source, gives them far too much credit and trust. You and I both know that the Palestinians and Arabs would also be massacred, mutilated, and irrevocably changed by such enactions. That alone should be sufficient rationale for you to reluctantly aquiesce to the current status quo, as much as you don't like it. Atleast for now, the Pals/Arabs that you so fiercely defend are relatively safe by way of comparison, than from the vision of the future that you would portray as acceptable. It's a blind rage and anger that you respond with, not rationality.

Even were I to concede that Israel holds unfair domination over the Palestinians, which I do not, they are still better off than being annihalated by their own cousins/brothers in a blind fit of nuclear holocaust/rage.
