Most people that played Native Americans in the early films were Middle east, Jewish, Italian and all sorts of other nationalities. If you looked slightly ethnic you would work.

Those people in the picture you showed are more than likely card carrying native people. Here in Oklahoma we have a lot of white American Indians. I am one.

Yes, Injun is considered offensive.

I'm seeing more white American Indians than anything. What's happening? Are the red ones disappearing or inter-marrying at such high rates?

Amerindians were never one skin tone anyway. Some were light skinned and some darker depending on the tribe and location.

A lot have intermarried with white people over the years. Europeans have been here since the 1400's. That's a lot of time to inter breed.

Blacks have been here for at least 300 years and they pretty much have their darker skin. I don't get it!

The lead singer for Red Hot Chili Peppers is Amerindian and light skinned. A lot of people don't even know he's Native.

He's actually not fullblood. If I'm not mistaken he is mostly Lithuanian. I use to be so in love with this guy back in the day and I remember reading this about him. I don't think he has a significant amount of Native blood but it is there. His Lithuanian roots are responsible for his looks. Much like Cher's Armenian father. That's why she looks that way but she claims it's because of her Cherokee heritage which if it really exists is very small. I say really because there are so many people who think they have Indian ancestry and really don't have any. DNA is kinda proving that.

Whoa there..........not that I'm trying to argue with you but have you even talked with Natives? Many Natives do not believe they come from Asia. In fact many argue that it could have been the other way around. I think we need to get off of these theories introduced by white people who often have ulterior motives mainly based on racism. Whites are now arguing that Kenniwick man was not Native and now they are trying to say Natives weren't the first Americans. The racist racial classification of Monogoloid, N*groid and Caucasaoid are very racist yet it beats me why people are still using them. Where do you put the Maoris, The Bushmen of Africa who have epicanthic eye-folds, The Australian Aborigines, The Semang of Indonesia/Malaysia and here in teh US in fact are clusters of Native Americans who do not share the same DNA that other mongoloids have and look very different. You could go all over the place with these white introduced theories. It's ashamed people give them credibility. My guess is the reason they do it is because they are white and people feel if something is coming from a white person it must be right.

It isn't a theory. It's a fact. Amerindians have the same DNA and skull structure as Asian people. It's been proven by paleontologists.

Some Native Americans do disagree but educated ones that have a science background are aware of the findings and agree.

Here in Oklahoma we have a leading forensics artist who recreates skulls. He is Amerindian and has done lectures on this.

Oh so the ones that disagree are dumb? Sweety science LOTS of loop holes! You can manipulate it to do whatever you want it to do. And..........scientists are people trying to get paid.

They're the same race as us, but they do not have the same DNA as East Asians and they do not have the same skull structures as East Asians.
