Arts festival in downtown Fremont Saturday

An Arts Festival. The "car show" was a JOKE! Who ever heard of an "invitation only" car show? A friend of mine drove up from Lansing, only to find out he could not enter. Luckily, I found out Sat. Morn. before I drove up in my antique car. If the Arts Place wanted a private car show, why didn`t they put up a privacy fence?
As for the Arts Place, and the City of Fremont`s highly overrated "Farmer`s Market", I will set foot in neither one again.
Are we not good enough for you?

I'm not sure what dissappointed you about the arts festival Saturday. They had worked with local car clubs to invite a limited amount of cars to show due to space limitations and first year development. They simply asked that cars be registered ahead in order to plan parking areas and order enough dash plaques for their exhibitors. When I arrived they had a program for me, I got free coffee and donuts, and enjoyed great live music, good art booths and food booths. I even heard that they were prepared for non-registrered cars and had let those in who came up before 9:30 and got them all set up. Being the first year, I thought they did a great job listing everyone in a program, giving us dash plaques and food tickets and not charging any entry fee. Can't be much more hospitable than that! It was a beautiful day and the families sure enjoyed the art and the cars. Don't be so sore about not getting an invite, let them know who you are and that you have a car to show. I look forward to next year!
