Mississippi native Jesmyn Ward, winner of the National Book Award for fiction for her book 'Salvage the Bones,' shows off her medal after ceremony Wednesday night in New York.
Kudos to Jesmyn on her book. It's tremendous when a piece of fiction can tell a story more mesmerizing than non-fiction. Many more successes to this great writer.
Author, "Diary From the Dome, Reflections on Fear and Privilege During Katrina"
