Obama is just another, albeit different type of terrorist that wants to destroy America as it has been for the past 200 years and change it into some kind of socialist utopia. |

Judged: 1 1 1 More Questions Raised by Obama's 'You Didn't Build That' quote August 8, 2012 Douglas Herz Some perspectives on Obama's ridiculous "If you've got a business-you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen" statement. If I owe others for my success, don't they owe me? Doesn't everyone owe everyone else? Wouldn't all this just cancel out, leaving only individual drive, initiative, and entrepreneurship? Variation: if everyone owes everyone else, shouldn't it be by the amount of taxes they pay? So, shouldn't the 50% who pay no taxes owe the top 5% the most? And, since the 50% who pay no taxes vote mainly for Obama, doesn't he actually owe the top 5% for his presidency, and so shouldn't he represent their views? Judged: 1 1 1 Obama still trying to explain ‘you didn’t build that’ comment By Dave Boyer Tuesday, July 24, 2012 Amid signs that Republican Mitt Romney’s attacks on President Obama’s economic views are having an impact, Mr. Obama is trying for the second straight week to clarify his comments that self-made entrepreneurs aren’t entirely responsible for their own success. At a campaign event in California Monday night, Mr. Obama accused the Romney campaign of “splicing and dicing” his controversial comments for partisan gain. And he tried to emphasize his belief in American entrepreneurship. The president is still trying to explain away comments he made on the stump on July 13 in Roanoke, Va., when he implied that entrepreneurs don’t deserve all the credit for their own success. “If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help … Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive,” Mr. Obama said at the time.“Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” Mr. Romney and his Republican allies have seized on those remarks, turning into an anti-Obama TV commercial and a campaign theme that the president doesn’t understand American capitalism. And there’s evidence the attacks are gaining traction with voters. A USA/Today Gallup poll released Monday found that a record number of Americans express skepticism about Mr. Obama’s view of the activist role of government: 61 percent say the government is trying to do too many things that should be left to individuals and businesses. Gallup said it was the highest number since the polling outfit began asking the question in 1992. And despite the Obama campaign’s relentless attacks on Mr. Romney’s record at Bain Capital, the survey found that 63 percent of the public believes the Republican would do well handling the economy as president, with only 29 percent viewing him unfavorably on the economy. Even Sen. Bob Casey, Pennsylvania Democrat and a friend of the president, suggested Monday that he didn’t agree with Mr. Obama’s remarks. “Everyone knows that when someone builds a business and is successful, they’re successful for a variety of reasons,” Mr. Casey told an audience in Harrisburg, Pa.“One of the reasons they’re successful is they work hard. Usually, sometimes they just get lucky, but a lot of the times — probably most of the time, at least in terms of people I’ve talked to over the years, it’s hard work.” http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/jul/... |

July Unemployment Rises to 8.3 Pct. By BILL MCGUIRE SUSANNA KIM Aug. 3, 2012 unemployment rose to 8.3 percent as fewer people participated in the work force, the Labor Department reported Friday. With only three months to go before the presidential election, the country is eyeing the nation's unemployment to assess the state of the U.S. economy. "This jobs report has very mixed news ranging from a decent payroll growth number of +163k, to very disappointing numbers from the household survey," said Stephen Bronars, chief economist with Welch Consulting. "In the household survey the unemployment rate increased from 8.2 to 8.3, the employment to population ratio fell and the participation rate fell in July. Those are all very troubling." Unemployment has been above 8 percent for 41 consecutive months. The Labor Department report showed that the actual number of Americans working dropped by 195,000. Out of touch Obama says the economy is doing fine. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/july-unemploym... |

Obama's Unemployment Rising Again
Taken together this means that we can't be very happy with the overall jobs report. There are too many negatives in the household survey and much of the gain of 163k is due to a large seasonal adjustment," Bronars added. What concerns Bronars is that last month the number of people unemployed for five weeks or less increased to its highest value in a year. In the past two months, new jobless claims have been higher than earlier in the year also. "If we continue to see increases in the number of people entering unemployment its a sign that the labor market remains weak," Bronars said. Among other lingering problems for the nation's unemployed, Bronars pointed out that construction employment has been unchanged in the past two years and remains down more than 2 million, or about 28 percent, from 2007. He said the continued weakness in he housing sector is a problem for construction workers who have been out of work, or underemployed, for years. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/july-unemploym... |

Obama Built that: Unemployment rises to 8.3% By Daily Mail Reporter 3 August 2012 Did you build THAT? Blow to Obama as unemployment rises to 8.3 PER CENT. Unemployment hovers above 8 per cent for 42nd straight month. The unemployment rate rose slightly to 8.3 per cent last month as the number of job-seekers grew by 45,000, according to statistics released by the Labor Department today. Faced with the bad news for the economy, President Obama was today forced to admit that there are too many people out of work and vowed to do more on their behalf. Mitt Romney and Republicans jumped on the figures calling them a 'hammer blow' to middle class families as the new jobs failed to offset a growing number of Americans out of work. High unemployment could dash President Obama's re-election hopes as no president since World War II has faced a re-election campaign with unemployment over 8 per cent. Romney says Americans deserve better than an unemployment rate that stays stubbornly stuck above 8 per cent. We agree. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-21831... |
