Has anyone done research on what vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan stands for and what his answers are for straightening out the country? If you haven't, you need to especially if you're under 55 and want to retire someday. No matter if you are a Democrat or Republican or for Obama or Romney, Paul Ryan is a scary individual. If Romney gets elected Ryan will only be a heartbeat away from being president. Look at what he wants to do with Social Security, Medicare, the retirement age and unions. No matter who people vote for they need to read up on Paul Ryan.
You should probably be more concerned with Biden being a heartbeat away from being president. He would tell you why you're better off than you were four yrs ago " if it wasn't so hot" . I was rolling on the floor.lololol

Lol. Nice try on the spin. I wouldn't be surprised if Obama tried to blame Jesus for it.If the national debt isn't enough, the unemployment rate, and jobs numbers coming out Friday will be more than enough. Bad time to be in the demotragic party

I only succumb to panic when I think that, if Romney gets to be president and is assassinated, Paul Ryan might become president. Now THAT is worth a panic or two.

Your fear is sadly misplaced.

What good are all the new Miami and other coastal city's jobs going to be when they get flooded out?
This ocean rising thing is very real. Our kids will have to deal with it. I guess some people don't give a crap about the people we leave behind. Self centered apathy combined with stupidity are you boneheads.

Al Gore isn't running. And Obama doesn't care about the oceans. Those were talking points for him. Just like turning the economy, cutting the deficit in HD in three years, and having unemployment under 6%. Bye bye Obama.

You're the one who doesn't care about the oceans. Can you even admit that the environment is essential to human life? You are an ignorant fool. You are the one full of talking points and they don't make any sense. You don't care about the future for our kids. You only care about the corner store having any twinkies left for you. Well if it goes your way they'll be no twinkies.

Johnny, why so angry? The truth is, Al Gore has made his retirement off of tree huggers like you. You believe anything he and Michael Moore say. You need to get pumped again. Go to YouTube and watch the Corey booker speech again dude. Just go out and vote in 2016

If I'm angry, it's because the country is full of people like you. Why do you keep bringing up Al Gore? i didn't vote for him. I felt he came across as a phony during the campaign. Of course, I'm from Texas so my vote usually doesn't count because I am surrounded by idiots such as yourself. Self absorbed clueless "what's in it for me" people. You have proven to be a horrible person. A non thinking citizen. There is an old phrase which in this round seems to be true. "Vote republican. It's easier than thinking".

John, did it ever occur to you that you might be the idiot, and all those around you might be the sane ones?

Yeah. He wants to be CHAIRMAN OBAMOLONEY.
Wait till Obama expands the power of the presidency to dictator like status and a KKK or a Nazi member gets elected. The democrats and republicans will both be sorry then. Keep government small. That's the key. Obama is messed up in the head.

Self centered profiteering is what the US style 'philosophy of life
' is about. Stepping on others to gain an inch of height it the standard by which they are judged. In such an environment, you cannot expect 'working together' of 'common good' to thrive.

Rising oceans/seas?

Here's a reality check: More detailed information is expected next year, when the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change releases a new report on global warming. Until then, the best estimates are that by 2030, Biscayne Bay and the near-shore ocean (they’ll rise simultaneously) will be between three and seven inches higher than they are today. By 2060 sea level is projected to rise between nine inches and two feet.

The bay and ocean won’t stop rising at nine inches or two feet, either.“By the end of the century, a little under 100 years from now, there could be four to six feet or more of sea level rise above the present sea level,” says Harold Wanless, chairman of the University of Miami’s geological sciences department.

With a four-foot rise in sea level, Brickell will be a bathtub, and most neighborhoods east of Biscayne Boulevard will be either submerged or resemble islands. A narrow strip of land will be all that remains of the beaches from South Pointe to Golden Beach. The Keys will, for the most part, disappear. Fort Lauderdale will look like Venice, Italy.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Sagittarius

You're wearing rose-tinted glasses today, especially when you look at some of the special people in your life. Right now you only want to see their good points and you'll deliberately turn a blind eye to any faults that might be on show. If you can escape from the real world for a day with you-know-who you'll have a marvelously romantic and emotional time together. But do your best to come back to earth tomorrow.
