They claim Greater Armenia is a lie, and ignore historians talking about and calling it Greater and Lesser Armenia, and then they have a dream about greater azerbaijan where all of Armenia belongs to them, parts of Georgia and Northern Iran belong to them. AZ does not claim land from Georgia, the 2 countries have good relations, now AR on the other hand has a hard on for Georgian land where an Armen minority lives, u know a second Karabakh. As for northern Iran which is called the province of Azerbaijan by the Irani government, it is inhabited by Azeri Turks who constitute half of the population of Iran. Now the republic of AZ has no formal claims on the province of AZ, but Azeri people on both sides of the Araz river r united in spirit, and if one day a political union comes to being, what could be more natural than the same people wanting to live on the same land? The only thing that is fake is your so-called knowledge of the region.

They have a dispute over the Zaqatala region. There is a Christian church near the border where azeris claim it belongs to them, for some reason, and Georgians claim it belongs to them.
No formal claims? Did you read the article where azeri govt officials want to change the name of azerbaijan to Northern azerbaijan? Why would they if they have no claims? There are 10-20 million Iranian Azaris in northern Iran. How do you know they want to be part of azerbaijan? Did you know when Stalin created the azerbaijan in the Caucasus the people in Northern Iran wanted to change there name to Azadistan as to not be associated with the newly formed country? One idiot tried to show that the Iranian Azaris were upset with Iran by showing a soccer video where a few fans waved azerbaijan's flag. They don't want to join azerbaijan.

First dude Stalin did not create the republic of Azerbaijan, however Stalin did back South Azerbaijans independence from Iran, and with Pishevari as leader South Azerbaijan did secede from Iran and remained independent from 1945-1947. The usage of the term “Azerbaijan” for Arran was also protested by north Iranian (Gilan) activist, Mirza Kuchek Khan (1880-1921).

I have never been able to show the originals of the so-called “documents”, because there are no such documents.

What I call “telegrams” have been fabricated by me and my circle.

I later said that I “lost” them.

Some circles entertain the wrong conviction that the German court, which tried Soghomon Tehlirian, Talat Pasha’s assassin, had accepted these “documents” as authentic and as evidence (1921).

Even Tehlirian’s counsel (Von Gordon) had to withdraw them, and the German prosecutor said that he knew of “documents”, carrying the signatures of high dignitaries, later proved to be falsifications.

While the victors of the First World War were searching all corners for such documents to accuse the Ottoman leaders, then detained in the Island of Malta, they chose not to assess the “telegrams” fabricated by me the liar Liarmenian Andonian.
