A terrible loss of a Great Man. Talented and humble and infinitely funny, he worked with literally everybody and did practically everything. His autobiography 'If I Don't Write It, Nobody Else Will' is a treat not to be missed.

I think I shall remember him most for his 'Goon Show' writing with Spike Milligan, and two of his shows 'Sykes And A...' and 'Sykes'. I think the last time I saw him on the screen was in 'Gormenghast'.
